  • Do you mean 100 per day per week? I feel like when people say "100 per week" that's really what they mean. Eg eat 1300 calories every day for a week, 1400 every day the next week, etc. until you reach maintenance.
  • The USDA entry is for a "raw" banana, meaning without the peel. I think if you weighed it with the peel it would probably be quite a bit heavier.
  • If you like frozen yogurt I would recommend Yasso's bars. They're a little pricier but worth it IMO and have between 80-130 calories per bar depending on what flavor you get.
  • I just bought a Veggetti today, the only thing I really had in the house to use it on was a cucumber and I hate cucumbers but I like the way the noodles turned out :) I can't wait to get my hands on some sweet potatoes and make something with them.
  • Do you have MFP set to active/very active? It's not saying that you only burned 84 calories during that time, it's saying that it predicts you to burn 84 more calories than it expected you to during the day.
  • Pretty basic shake recipe but this is what I've been doing for breakfast and I love it: 1.5 cups unsweetened almond milk 1 small frozen banana (or 1/2 large banana) 1 scoop chocolate protein powder 1 tbsp cocoa powder 1 tsp vanilla extract + a few ice cubes and a pinch of xantham gum Comes out to about 270 calories for me…
  • I'm having the same kind of apprehension, I recently got a Flex and it's telling me to eat about 2000 calories per day which really scares me because I'm used to eating 1200-1300 (currently working on working up to maintenance which I thought would be more like 1600). But from what I've heard, people seem to think that…
  • If I were you I would just eat what I wanted- it's your birthday, it only comes once a year! It's not like you're going to eat so much that you'll actually gain a significant amount of weight.
  • I've started having protein shakes for breakfast because I haven't been getting enough protein lately. I make them myself though, I've tried premade ones in the past and I don't really like them.
  • I use Orgain creamy chocolate fudge flavor. I've never tried another plant-based protein powder but I'm really liking this stuff
  • In terms of taste, I prefer almond milk. In terms of health, that is subjective and it depends on what YOU think is best for you
  • I've thought about buying those brownies but I'm always afraid I'll open them and they'll be really tiny and I'll swallow them whole, lol. How big are they? I like chocolate flavored cereal and frozen yogurt/ice cream bars.
  • I hate the taste of black coffee more than anything so when I need caffeine but I'm out of zipfizz I add a packet of no sugar added swiss miss. Probably wouldn't recommend this for every cup if you frequently drink coffee though lol
  • Two kiwi fruits as a snack
  • Ugh, I have seen articles from this Food Babe girl online before and they have always come across as super annoying. If you want to eat "naturally", fine, but I really hate when people throw around words like "toxic" when they really don't know what they're talking about.
  • I'm a huge chocolate lover. When I am craving it I will usually eat things that are chocolate-y but aren't just little pieces of chocolate (chocolate frozen yogurt, sugar free jello pudding, protein shake/bars, cereal, etc.).
  • Confession: I can't run even a quarter of a mile without stopping
  • I second the grilled chicken nuggets from Chick-Fil-A. I think 8 nuggets have 140 calories or something like that. I don't know if you consider this "fast food" but if you go through the Panera bread drive through they have a lot of options that are low calorie and on the healthier side (be careful, though- things like…
  • I eat "whatever" I want as long as it fits in my calories. But this means I have also cut out or greatly reduced amounts of high calorie foods. Like, I COULD fit a 680-calorie giant chocolate muffin from Costco into my day, and it's not that I don't enjoy those muffins anymore... but I'd much rather use those calories for…
  • I guess they're allowed to put "0 calories" on the label if it's less than five calories but I wouldn't really worry about it because there's no way you're drinking enough of them to make you gain weight. I drink a lot of artificially sweetened beverages and I haven't had any issues.
  • I see a few recommendations for gummy candy- similarly I like eating pouches of fruit snacks. They have about 70-90 calories depending on the brand so they can make a good small snack.
  • Personally I love Splenda, and I like the taste of most artificial sweeteners. I REALLY don't like Stevia, it has a very strong unpleasant taste to me.
  • It will not hinder your weight loss as long as you remain in your limit. If it doesn't make you feel sick then you should keep eating it if you want to
  • I just got a fitbit a few days ago, so far it seems pretty accurate. I didn't leave my house today but I did some laps around the house to get a few steps in and the distance it measured along with the calorie adjustment it sent to mfp looked okay. Even if it's not completely accurate I like it because I really think it's…
  • I take vitamin d, a b-complex, two digestive enzymes a day with meals, a probiotic, vitamin c and a calcium/magnesium/iron supplement. And my doctor has also recommended that I start taking vitamin b2 and fish oil as well so I'm starting those on Sunday. I should take iron too because I don't get enough and my levels are…
  • I don't understand people who just eat egg whites. A whole egg doesn't even have that many calories and by getting rid of the yolk you are removing a lot of the nutrients and protein. And personally I hate the taste of egg whites by themselves...
  • A lot of days all I want are nonfat frozen yogurt (or sometimes not frozen) and apples because those are my favorite foods now and since they are pretty low in calories I feel like I can eat a lot of them. Obviously I do make myself eat other things too though and I try to not eat more than a couple servings of each per…
  • I get really bloated at night too, I just try to ignore it because this has always happened to me and I know it's not "real" weight gain and it'll probably be gone in 12 hours.
  • People say that it stimulates your appetite which I really disagree with, it doesn't make me want to eat any more than normal. Also, there's the whole "aspartame is evil" thing but I couldn't care less about that. If a second head started growing on my shoulders than I would probably still drink diet soda.
  • I just tried Orgain creamy chocolate fudge protein powder and thought it was really good. I've tried a few others in the past (all chocolate flavored, haha) and I think I'm sticking with this one. It's plant based (I can have whey protein but I wanted to try something new) so if anyone is vegan I recommend it.
