Nearly ran the whole way of a 5k today but it was 16°C / 61°F and sunny and I was wilting at 3k so I stopped for a quick drink at the bubble tap at 3k then ran the rest of the way. Happy about this, since I'm not good running at temperature over 10°C.

@kgirlhart Congratulations on your awards! @Tramboman It's always time for new shoes. ;) Today was a 3 km training run. Did it in negative splits. It was hot yesterday but I'm glad it had cooled down today. I'm no good running at over 10°C / 50°F. My back is healing but still not 100%. Thanks for the kind words. Doctor…

Ran parkrun today in my fastest time this year by 2 minutes. I'm totally stoked! Probably ran three quarters of the 5 k. In other news, my back decided to go out in sympathy with @quilteryoyo It happened just after the 1 km mark, going up a hill. It's quite painful at times, but keeping active helps, even though there is a…

Saturday I walked/ran 5km parkrun. Today I ran 3 km faster than recent attempts. Thanks for all the support, lovely people! I wish you a safe and happy December.

My scary goal is to run 5km without stopping.

@SummerSkier I think that's hilarious blaming your unknown injuries on the cat. I think I will start doing that. I don't trust our cats. One's too haughty, and one's so nice I bet she's hiding something. @kgirlhart So sad about the pet dog. @Scott6255 glad your shins are feeling better!

Ran non-stop round the lake this morning. Furthest I've done in about 18 months. 4.2 km. Reached my goal!
-
@Scott6255 @quilteryoyo Thanks for your nice comments and sorry about your ailments. 30 minute run today on a cool and still morning. *Nearly* 4 km. Even a couple of little hills! Yay! This was the last workout in Couch to 5K and I'm now supposed to be able to run 5 km but I'll do some intermediate runs before that.
-
Another 28 minute run. My heartrate was a bit lower this time, and the run felt a little bit easier. This is meant to be the final week of Couch to 5K before you can run 5 km but I'm only up to 3.5 km so I don't see 5 km happening next week. Maybe 4.2 km round the lake, which would be a personal goal. Having formerly run…

@katharmonic What an adventure! Such gorgeous scenery! Yes, let's forget about the way down. Well done on your 46! Have you thought of your next hiking challenge?
-
I'm up to a 28 minute run now, which was this morning. That was 3.54 km. So happy I'm getting closer to 5K.

Awesome HM, @kgirlhart ! Congratulations on your AG win! Wow, @sweetdaisy13 50 km from only running a couple of times a week? I wish I was as fit as you. Respect. @martaindale Well done on your HM! So glad you enjoyed it! Big medal!

Today was another 25 minute run of 3km. It was a bit warm and sunny for me but I managed it without stopping, except once when crossing a road. Hate waiting for cars!
-
Another 25 minute run this morning. It felt much the same as Saturday's but I was a bit faster. Progress!
-
My last best (post-illness) run was 3.1 km on Saturday, so this month my goal is to do a 4 km run.

Thanks @shanaber @rheddmobile @ContraryMaryMary I used to get flashing then migraines, but haven't for nearly 10 years. Yesterday I didn't get a headache after. This was more like a big bright "floater" in the bottom right of my vision. I did notice that I couldn't tell which eye was affected, by closing one eye then the…

25 minute run! (Previous post-illness best was 22 minutes.) But after I'd had an electrolyte drink, a coffee and a shower, my eyesight had a big "flash" in the bottom right of my vision. It was really worrying me. I decided to have a quick bite to eat then head to the hospital. As soon as I'd eaten something it got better!…

Couch to 5k is going well. 22 minute run this morning. Feels good! @martaindale That's a great idea to add an extra week to your training plans in case of injuries. Must remember to do that when I get up to training for races again.

@Scott6255 @Teresa502 This is my first pair of Ghosts. I've had a lot of pairs of Nike Pegasus 33 and 34 and 2 pairs of Nike Wildhorse which have all been great. I've worn Brooks before (Ravenna and Adrenaline) but I should not have had those support shoes and/or shouldn't have worn them with orthotics. Disappointed that…

Today was my latest Couch to 5K session. 10 minute run; 3 min walk; 10 min run. That ended up being nearly 3 km. My main problem is finding somewhere not hilly - I'm trying to avoid hills but it's not really possible, hahaha. I did repeat a flat section. @Scott6255 My Ghost 13s feel like a harsh ride, especially with…

@polskagirl01 Your HM and your post are all kinds of awesome! @johnisrunning Congratulations on 4th place, and good luck getting that PB soon! @julieannegannon Wishing you patience and persistence with your piriformis, and sorry for the alliteration.

Great running, @Scott6255 ! Nice swag, @polskagirl01 !

Did Couch to 5K Week 6 Day 1 today, which is mainly: Run 5 minutes; walk 3 min Run 8 minutes; walk 3 min Run 5 minutes. Despite a poor sleep in which I was either too cold or too warm, I quite enjoyed my run. Sorry, I don't know how to do spoilers, but here's where I ran three times (I have a favourite block that's not too…

@WhatMeRunning Good luck with your surgery! @skippygirlsmom Good to see you! You're amazing getting up at 4:30 am for your running before work! My hero!

I ran for 20 minutes today - the furthest in over a year. Happy about that.
