  • I am 5'6. I started losing weight in January. my start weight was 235 and I was in a size 18. My current weight is 211 and back into a 16. I carry my weight in my hips/butt area. I have always had a bigger rump and a very hourglass figure. I don't gain too much weight on the top. It really is just a matter of weight…
  • I have taken it when I was in my 20's. It works. It's also dangerous. I know have to have blood work done every single time I go to the dentist as the risk for heavy bleeding and heart issues is now a problem for me. Lose weight a better way-by eating less-and learn better eating habits. Diet pills are not healthy and not…
  • Nope! And you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who has gotten rid of the c-section overhang without some form of plastic surgery. I have it..I cannot ever get rid of it. Doesn't matter how thin I get or have been it's always there. I have not known anyone to get rid of it with just diet and exercise alone sadly.
  • The only way to gain weight is to over-eat. You are consuming more than you think you are. If you are not weighing and measuring every single thing it's likely you are over-eating. Period. A calorie deficit will create weight loss. You are not in a calorie deficit. No matter how much you work out, if you are gaining weight…
  • I had a 5 week stall where I went up and down the same two pounds! It drove me nuts. I continued to eat the same as I have always done (knowing that I wasn't doing anything different) and it eventually went down. It is frustrating when it happens but if you have double checked your food logging and have not changed…
  • I did 1200 calories for months, I lost weight and I really wasn't hungry. I think it just depends upon the person. I can deal with it if I feel mildly hungry but for me, 1200 calories really wasn't a struggle for me.
  • this made me spit out my tea...."you're a special snowflake" bahahaha
  • I know a lot of people who do IF. I don't personally, I would rather create my deficit on a daily bases and eat up to my calories then on or two days at 500 calories. I realize 16/8 means that you only eat in the 8 hour window but I feel anyone can still over eat their calories in that 8 hour window. I know I could lol. I…
  • we all have eyes and we all can guess...but guess what....you are eating MORE than you burn! Period. There is no discussion here to be had. You either take the suggestions of getting a scale and weighing and measuring your foods....or you don't and we will know why you are not losing weight. What is so hard to understand?
  • You are over eating with each and every item you listed, likely. If you are not measuring and/or weighing your food, just because you break down to us what you are eating, then you really don't know how MUCH of it you are actually eating. You say "normal amounts" but you are basing it off of what you view as normal and are…
  • [/quote] And.....THIS is the reason this thread should be closed! /shakingmyhead
  • This isn't healthy and isn't a good thread to have open. just my opinion though. I'd hate to think that anyone would be so foolish as to believe they can lose that much weight so quickly. The answer to the OP should be simply, no..there is zero healthy ways to accomplish this dramatic weight loss in such a short time and…
  • I know the feeling...weighing EVERYTHING I eat..only for me, I am stuck at 216/217 for the most part. I have lost 19 pounds..but no matter what I do I cannot get out of this 216/217 range. It's been 5 weeks of up and down the same damn pound! So frustrating. I wish I had advice for you. I just keep doing what I have been…
  • take in less calories than you currently burn. You will lose weight if you do that. When you have so little to lose sometimes the process is harder and longer but ultimately weight loss comes from creating a calorie deficit. Period.
  • You need a scale to weigh your food or else you will have no real, accurate way to know for sure just how much you're eating. If you are drinking a coke and wine every single day it has to stay within your calorie allotment for the day (coke has so much sugar though and you can certainly find a better substitute than this…
  • I know this thread is old...but I am frustrated for the same reason. Two weeks and no weight loss. No gain either but...still....no weight loss. I am doing everything I have been doing for the past few months, the same, weighing and measuring and exercising and for the past two weeks the scale has stood still. I want to…
  • That is actually, not true. Her body won't store fat. If you are eating at a calorie deficit then you will lose weight. IF you eat less than 1200 you will lose weight. However less than 1200 is not healthy. In either case, won't store fat. If it did then there would never be a worry about all those starving people in…
  • I used to eat 1200 calories as MFP has it set that way if I choose 2 pound loss a week. I changed it to 1.5 pounds a week and it gave me 1350. I typically eat fage 2% (NOT 0% as some fat is good for you and needed) for breakfast 150 calories For lunch funny enough I eat oatmeal (yes it's the pre packaged kind. I eat the…
  • This! You really have no idea how much you are eating if you don't weigh and measure. Period!
  • I eat bread EVERY SINGLE DAY! I eat sourdough-Goldminer brand. It's 130 calories for 57 grams. I make my bread fit into my calorie allotment for the day. I weight it to make sure I get the full 57 grams. You can eat it you just need to make it fit into your calories! You CAN have your bread!
  • pretty much you are eating more than you think. You will ALWAYS lose weight if you eat at a calorie deficit. It's impossible not to. There may be weeks you stall out a bit or hold onto some fluid perhaps, but you can't not lose weight if you are in a calorie deficit. You are likely eating more than you think and are likely…
  • This!
  • I take an anti depressant but it is for my IBS. Yes, they can cause you to gain weight for sure. I gained like 20 pounds since starting them. However, I have lost 18 pounds of the 20 since I started taking in less calories. It isn't easy especially with being 45 and in full blown menopause, but.....it can be done. It only…

  • You're eating too much, and not weighing and measuring your food. Calories in vs Calories out. You gain weight because you are not eating at a deficit. Period! This isn't a criticism. This is the truth. If you are gaining weight you are eating more than you should/think.
  • sorry I don't think this is good advice to give someone. Logging every single day is extremely important. You can never know exactly how much you are eating by estimating. You have to weigh and measure every single thing you eat. Taking days off only tells someone that it's okay to eat like crap and not worry about the…
