9 lbs down in 21 days...is that good?

I am 9 lbs down in 21 days and have been faithful to counting calories + working out 4-5x week. I only needed to lose 30 lbs to begin with, but I just feel like I should be down more weight by now...I'm doing 1300 calories a day, but have gotten close to 1500 calories on some days....

    With only 30 LBs to lose? It's VERY FAST.

    It's 3Lbs a week. It's very fast.

    Keep at it, and don't be discouraged when it inevitably slows down. Happens to everyone but it's normal as you approach your goal weight.

    You're doing great! Just make sure you're not pushing yourself too hard too fast or you might burn out. But if you're comfortable with your diet/exercise routine and see yourself doing this for life, keep at it for sure. And as RoToQ said, don't be discouraged if/when you plateau as it is perfectly normal. Good luck!

    Normal to lose a lot at first.. it's usually water weight though! It will slow down.

    It's actually a bit too fast. You risk losing lean muscle along with fat.
