  • I dont think this is silly. I weigh absolutely everything that goes into my mouth from lettuce to peanut butter to chocolate chips to goldfish force fed from my toddler :) I've had my fitbit (versa) for a year and my calorie burn is basically spot on. I've lost 60lbs now and I use the burn to tighten up my calorie goals…
  • How long have you been counting calories? Remember that even 5 or 6 days a week watching what you eat, if you go crazy on day 7 you are undoing a lot of progress. I started at 210lbs, I'm 150lbs now. MFP process works, you just need to be consistent and follow it.
  • Body type diets have been scientifically debunked. Enter your stats into MFP and set your goal as maintain weight. Eat what it gives you for at least 6 weeks, see where your weight is, and adjust accordingly.
  • Yes it is normal, it takes a solid year for patients to be functioning at 100% following ortho surgery. Continue to do your exercises, stationary biking, walking, and swimming are all good things.
  • I have Brooks for running
  • My scale victory goal is to get into the 140s, which is a weight I havent seen since middle school. I'm 154-158 right now. My non scale victory is to run my 10k training, I run 5ks 3x a week but really want to increase my distance.
  • This used to be my husband and I. When I started this journey in May/June, I didnt say one word, I just changed how I cooked and changed my snacks. I still always have a bedtime snack, it's just different. He was aware of what I was doing but really started asking questions about October, when I was down about 40lbs. He is…
  • I'm 5foot2 and started at 210. My original GW was 155 because that's the lowest I've been as an adult. I am 154 currently and my next goal is 130. Could I be happy in the 150s? Sure. But now I have fitness related goals, running faster/farther, lifting heavier, so I'm going to see where that takes me.
  • I'm in the same boat. I set my first goal as losing 50lbs, I'm at 56 down. So then I was thinking another 20lbs more because that puts me at a healthy BMI, but I see women on here with my height that are another 40lbs down from where I am now.
  • I use libra app to log my weight daily. It helps me see trends, like the week before my period I always "woosh" off 3-4 lbs, but then no movement the next week. I also notice no weight loss after I change up my exercise routine. If you know your tracking is right, just keep plugging along, it will come off.
  • I started in June, and it's been consistent with the exception of Christmas, I stayed the same weight for almost 3 weeks, but I ate at maintenance so that makes sense. I am at 1.5 a week now instead of the 2 I was losing for the first months because I needed more food.
  • I'm guessing because I weight train and run so I look smaller at a higher weight
  • I drink mio in my water, and stay out of the pantry. All day snacking lead to binges for me. So I just have to mentally stop. If I snack I'm a fan of celery with ranch and buffalo sauce.
  • I am 5 foot 2, and started at 210lbs. I am lightly active (getting 8k plus steps without the gym" and I was eating about 1500 cals. I would then eat back half of my exercise cals burned per my Fitbit. I am currently 158 lbs and still going strong. I'd pick something that sounds attainable to you, do it for 4-6 weeks, see…
  • I dont have mine synced and then manually enter my exercise calories. I only eat back 50% of what my fitbit says I burn during exercise. I have mfp set to lightly active because of my daily step count before exercise. I've lost about 53lbs now :)
  • Same thing. I've lost 50 lbs and have about another 30ish lbs to go. All I heard all weekend was people telling me to eat more, that I've lost enough, and people making fun of me that I went to the gym each morning. I ignored them. One of my cousins did ask for my fitness pal information, and she is morbidly obese, so I…
  • This would have been a great idea this morning so I could have weighed the dish. Darn it
  • I tried it about 2 years ago. It was SO expensive for the shakes and membership. It was right at 1200 calories for me, I would gain and lose the same 15 lbs because I would binge from starving myself. The "dietitian support" are not even registered dietitians, it's a random person whose been trained by profile staff. I'm…
  • I eat back half of what my fitbit says, only because I always have a day or two each month that I end up going way over, by like 500+ calories. These days even out a lot more for me knowing that I have an exercise buffer. The months where I dont go over, I just lose a bit more then my monthly goal, and what's wrong with…
  • During the weeks I always stay under 100-200 calories. Basically every Saturday i have some type of social event, tonight it is the neighborhood chrisrmas party. I went to the gym for over an hour this morning, and planned out what I think I will eat and drink tonight already. I've learned I can easily binge eat thousands…
  • I started at 210, I am 165 now and I *think* my target is around 130. All through high school I was 155, so I only have a memory of weighing in front of my 5th grade gym class at 125 and my gym teacher saying "now you just need to stay this weight forever" to me. So I basically have that weight burned into my brain.
  • I've nursed 2 babies to a year and each time I tried cutting calories even a tiny bit, I'd drop my supply. At 3 weeks you haven't even lost all the weight increase from blood supply, uterus growth, and your hormones are still nuts. When baby starts eating solids in 6 months and your supply is well established, revisit the…
  • I have a fitbit versa and really like it. I do not have it sync over to mfp, I manually enter 50% of my exercise burns into mfp. My versa syncs my texts, detects exercises even when i dont remember to start an activity. I've lost 40 lbs now, so I feel like it must be pretty accurate. It's also waterproof which is awesome…
  • I spent at least 5 years binging on weekends and eating okay during the week, and effectively gaining 50lbs. Then I changed to the "I've already ruined the diet today, I'll start Monday" for about 2 years. Are you going to remember the Saturday meal out in one month, or are you going to be 5-8 lbs lighter?
  • I am also 27, 2 kids and done with babies. I'm hoping push ups and chest flys will be my saving grace!
  • I'm sorry. I 100% did not think of creeps before posting.
  • This is a good suggestion too. I've of course, already looked into surgical answers but didnt take into account if my body would adjust in a few years.
  • Awesome! Thank you!
  • My husband says nothing but compliments but this is about how I feel naked, not him. :)
  • I'm okay with the size, but the sagginess is the problem
