turning 29 in two weeks, don't live with my boyfriend (of two years) yet, and have a very active social life. marraige isn't going to be on the table for a couple more years, and kids a year or so after that... it's different for everyone, but we're all here to get healthy or maintain a healthy lifestyle, so we've all got…

As a resident of Cambridge, and someone who was locked down yesterday and minutes away from the MIT officer's shooting Thursday night, I want to say thank you. From the bottom of my heart thank you. I can tell my story of how this week was for me, but there are thousands of people with the same story and hundreds (if not…

This was my status from approximately two hours before the bombs went off: "So today, for most of you, it’s just a normal Monday. But today, in Boston, it’s Marathon Monday. Today is the day that, every year, I say “I’m going to run this marathon someday.” I think it’s time to do it. I think this year I’m saying “I’m going…

Thank you all for the suggestions. I think I might be stronger than I think I am and need to challenge myself a bit more in addition to finding my TDEE average. Also, thank you guys and gals for helping me realize I am on the right track, just need to take it a few steps further...

My running NSV goes like this: When I started running I could barely do 5.0mph for 5 minutes without pain all over, not being able to breathe, and huffing and puffing away. The other night I ran 4.75 miles in 45 mins (6.3 mph) and felt amazing. For me the NSV is in the distances... This weekend I am planning for a 6 mile…

2.5" scar down my right wrist - looks like I tried to off myself - but it's really from a metal plate and 7 screws from surgery... I fell snowboarding and shattered my wrist. At first I was pretty upset about how bad it looked, but now I think it's pretty badass. http://instagram.com/p/UmgKHHF4z0/…

Good for you!!! My trainer and my boyfriend, who I see ALL the time, have both told me in the last week that I am looking leaner, though I have not lost any weight... my family, whom I haven't seen in 3 months, saw me this weekend and didn't say a thing. It's not as significant a loss or change as yours, but it still kind…

Sometimes, when I'm on the treadmill (cuz it's 10 degrees outside) I really wish I could do this instead of just run: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RcVtON3Zlc

I'm as slow as they come. I've lost 50lbs, but it's been over 4 years. And I started MFP in Aug 2011, but I am only down 12lbs since joining. I live a much healthier lifestyle overall so it doesn't bother me as much.

I'm 5'6 and the heaviest I ever weighed was 212lbs. I'm at 155 right now and am aiming for low 140s. My original goal when I started weight watchers at 200lbs 4 years ago was 145. Also, I'm gonna send a friend request, but please feel free to add me, I am looking for more support and encouragement.
