I have the FitBit Zip and it does everything I need and syncs to MFP. I love it!

I sometimes wear the compression sleeves after long runs. I don't run in them though. Mine are Zensah brand.

What is Power 90 Express?

Running?

I had several friends get a cortisone shots and had decent luck with them especially with IT band injuries. I sit here tonight telling you that I wouldn't get one, but then again if I'm injured and think that this would help me run again with no or minimal pain, I would probably consider it. :) Good luck in your decision!

If I'm being honest...NO way.

I'm running this one!

I think everyone has their own training plan that works for them. I run between 50-55 mpw (I did run 65 to 70 for a few weeks but that was too many miles) and just ran a 3:35 marathon. I may race a 5K and 10K once during the training, but that is all the speedwork I do. My shorter runs are between 8:45 and 9:00 and my…

Control your pace the first few miles!

Arc - I hope you're right about the new qualifying standards and all runners who qualify being able to enter the race. Scott - Totally agree that 40 mpw is too low for a 3:35 marathon. Running slower high mileage weeks will be much more benefial than speedwork. What marathon is your wife running to qualify?
-
I'm a believer that increasing weekly mileage totals is more important than incorporating a lot of speedwork in your workouts. But, that is just my opinion and what has worked for me in previous training.

I'm registered for Flying Pig in May!

104 miles. March is going to be better!

Boston which I will hopefully be running in April 2013 and the New York Marathon. The Nike Women's marathon and Big Sur are definitely at the top as well!

I have my eye on some West Coast marathons...Hopefully one of these days I'll get there.

I have a friend who has done it and said it was a great marathon. He has family in Detroit so that may have swayed his opinion of the marathon. :) If you're in the midwest, I suggest the Champaign Marathon or St. Louis Rock and Roll Marathon. Both were excellent in my opinion.

Around 124-125 and want to get to 122 by April 14th and 120 by the end of the summer...I can't seem to lose anything right now but hoping when the nice weather gets here I'll be able to lose those last 5 pounds!

I eat "normal" the day before the race. In my opinion, you can't make up for poor nutrition the night before the race. I may add a few extra pretzels the day before the race and definitely hydrate, but I don't eat anything too heavy! For me, protein is just as important as carbs the day before, but everyone is different!

Do you mix it with anything or just water?

I'm been wondering the same thing. I don't have a lot of weight left to lose but I want to tone and lose 2-5 more pounds. I don't think I'm going to be able to use them as a meal replacement though because I like eating too much. With that being said, I did order some Warrior Whey by Defense Nutrition last week. I haven't…
