I'd start with 3lb. weights then increase according to your personal needs.

I'm doing the same thing. While I am sticking to my food diet, I keep coming up with reasons why I can't excercise. I know I just need to jump in there and DO IT ALREADY!! Excellent post, its nice to hear that someone else is having the same struggles and working through it. Great post :smile:

My thoughts exactly. My biggest issues with myself are my weight and smoking. I choose to tackle one at a time.

This sounds just like me! I was doing the same thing and logging has helped me a ton vs. trying to guess. Guessing obviously didn't work because I have alot of weight to lose.

MFP has a place to log food in the database if you can't find them.

I tried to lose weight without logging my food and found that I under-estimate the calories that I am actually putting in my mouth. I also thought I was eating alot less than I actually was. I have found that logging keeps me accountable and paying more attention to serving size. I have tried weight watchers in the past…

Try adding a small snack like nuts when you get hungry or just go ahead and add the nuts to your oatmeal. Balancing your meals and keeping them within your daily range is tough, but keep playing around with it until you get it right. Also, oatmeal may not be a good choice for you at breakfast, try some eggs instead.
