idc what they say, the cauliflower alfredo sauce i found on pinterest was the BOMB! I'm diabetic so was looking for lower carbs. It was thick, creamy, and tasted wonderful. The texture was slightly different but that doesn't bother me. I used it with zuchinni noodles or whole wheat fettucini.

My Dr office took my mini earlier this year and said it had been known to give false highs/lows. They replaced it with another One Touch.

this is the BEST thread on this site...hilarious!!!

Thanks everyone! I will have to ask for more specifics. They do know I am diabetic so we shall see.

No, that is still the fat draining from the chicken as it is still cooking when they take it off the spit. They do not inject more into it.

I have tried a few and none meet my needs so I just use MFP. I just record all my BG in the notes section of the food diary and they will print out on the reports.

Okay, first they will probably do an A1C which tells average blood sugar over the last 3 months so stopping anything now really won't matter. If you've been watching your food intake and possibly have lost a few pounds then you will more than likely be fine. I will say you do need to calm down, stress does raise blood…

I too am trying to do without bread, is there anything you've used as a substitute that has helped? I have always been a big sandwich person and it's very very hard doing without. I've been trying pita pockets but it seems any bread raises my BS.

I like pears with mine but also tomatoes with a lot of black pepper is really good. People tease me that I like a little cottage cheese with my pepper!

Haven't tried with tilapia yet but with cod loin, should work the same. Place enough foil in pan to seal your fish then pour a little olive oil in. Brush about a tblsp of pesto over each filet and squeeze a little lemon juice over that. Wrap in foil and bake at 350 for about 30 - 40 minutes.

Isn't it amazing and terrible that price and insurance determines what equipment we use to keep our disease under control? I work for a major health insurance company and I have had to slide on my testing simply because I can't afford the test strips. No, mine isn't free just because I work there, my son works a part time…

Butter, syrup, peanut butter mixed together and then dip bread in it. Whenever I want something and there's nothing or I'm feeling down, this is my comfort. It probably isn't 5000 calories but when you factor in that I'm a diabetic...not too good! But it is delicious!!!

Well, I don't know if you'd call me a real fan. I grew up around racing (my dad actually built and engine that raced at Daytona back in the late 60s early 70s). My husband is in Daytona as I write, he's the "real" fan. I was and always will be a Richard Petty fan and I have a nephew named Cale (as in Yarborough for those…
