  • I may do this challenge. I used to ride 10-20 miles treks back in the days of yore (cough, my 20s, cough). I have not ridden since I got married and had kids. But they have just figured out how to ride bikes a few weeks ago, even with training wheels. So I just picked up a bike at a yardsale last weekend, needs to tires…
  • I had 100lbs to lose, now its 60lbs left. 33F, work full time, 2 young kids, 3 if you count my husband :D I'm losing slowly lately, had a bunch of set backs with kids getting sick and then us adults getting sick but keep getting back on it.
  • When I was pregnant with kid number 2 my banana "like" button got turn off and never turned back on again. Used to eat them regularly, but couldn't even look at them while pregnant. Now I'm lucky if I eat one every couple of months. My kid loves them though, go figure.
  • eh...I've been down with the flu all last week. I mean, fever, coughing, can't get out of bed flu. I didn't really eat much for a few days so maybe that explains it, but the minute I got some appetite back this weekend, I ate a whole bag of peanut m&ms. And not the little bags, I mean the bags that you pour in a dish for a…
  • Sorry this is late, I have been knocked down by the flu all week. SW: 213 CW: 210 (taken april 6th) GW: 185
  • Health issues have cropped up. But in the long run, I would like to keep up with my young kids. Being thinner and able to buy smaller clothes would be a nice bonus, but is not a huge motivator or I would have done this a long time ago. And my husband liked the cow enough when it was heavier to date it, marry it and have…
  • I was always the taller kid so I always felt lumbering/bigger than the other girls. Then gained weight rapidly in middle school. My parents were poorer, Docs never really said anything about it back then and my mom was very depressed at the time so it just kept going. My father's family was Italian as well...so I did learn…
  • Late on the weight so...I guess this will count as this week too since its wednesday >:D SW: 213 lbs CW: 211.8 lbs (-1.2lbs) Sept. Goal: 185 Struggles: Don't eat the cadbury eggs! om nom nom....one leads to...not just one. Other than that woo! 1.2lbs! Increase exercise, get that garden going this week/weekend. Try to cook…
  • I would like to be in, but maybe shoot for a lower goal personally, ~5lbs a month seems safer for me. If I lose too quickly, I tend to get binge-y. Is there a challenge group to join? link? CW: 213 lbs Sept. Goal: 185 UGW: 150s
  • Oh so much! but water under the bridge as they say! With my first...I wish I had listened to the doctors and taken my iron pill while pregnant. I didn't like the side effects from it so I didn't take it, but boy was I wiped from anemia after her birth. Also, to not beat myself up so badly because I was unable to breastfeed…
  • My husband told me that my 3 year old daughter informed him that tacos were not for cats.
  • Olivia's organic 50/50 spring mix w/spinach 3-4 dried apricots, sliced 3oz grilled chicken, spiced with salt, pepper, garlic and onion powder, basil, rosemary. Kens lite olive oil n vinegar dressing 1 tomato sometimes I'll add 1/3 cucumber half a granny smith apple or mcintosh apple, sliced 1 oz of either feta or fresh…
  • yes. My weight goes crazy during about 10 days around that time. I still weigh myself to see what its doing, but I have gained up to 8lbs of water. It all drops off a few days after everything is said and done though, and if I have been good and not given in to my chocolate cravings and stuck to my calories I even lose an…
  • This week it seems to be lining up like this: Breakfast: egg or 2 eggs, with maybe some cheese if I feel like it, 1 slice of toast with either butter or peanut butter. Lunch: turkey and cheese sandwich on bulky roll with bbq sauce (I'm so boring) sometimes with sweet pickles or spanish olives, depends on mood. Dinners:…
  • I used to log it if it was something out of the ordinary like I was doing "spring cleaning" ie moving/flipping furniture, hands n knees scrubbing for hours, etc. Then I would only log like 1/3 of the time since MFP counts were high. Now I have a fitbit, I would probably just rely on that unless it gave me extra steps for…
  • roast it with a little butter or oil and some crushed ritz crackers (just a few) as bread crumbs. mmmmm. Add cheese if you want. I switch it up between parm and cheddar.
  • I think you can add it as a food. It's negative calories. You have to estimate how much she is eating though amount wise. You could try weighing her or you before and after feedings to see how much you feed in a day in ounces/mls if you want to be exact.
  • I have bred mice for work...its not difficult. They kinda do all the work themselves. Just don't touch the babies while they are furless or mama will eat them. Takes 3 week gestation, then 3 weeks til you can wean them away from mama. You should make separate male/female cages because the brothers, sisters, mothers,…
  • Awww! I love snakes, I used to hike in the spring and look for them. I think I will take my girls out this year, they seem to like snakes too. We are going to get them one when they are older, after a couple cats die off maybe, lol (five cats, too many).
  • pizza. Sugar cookies or chocolate chip cookies?
  • You could also keep a small bottle of hand sanitizer on hand to use after you have been in public areas around that time of year. Keeping your hands clean is #1 in keeping getting sick. September is when all the kids go back to school and then share all the germs and bring it home to the parents. So by October, the parents…
  • hmmm....I actually have just 1 fried egg, use smart balance pam type spray, 15-20g shredded cheddar and either a 100 cal mini bagel with cream cheese or 1 slice or reduced cal oatmeal bread with peanut butter (most of those are market basket brand if you want to look up the cals). Keeps me from about 5:30am til 10am or so.…
  • I lost my father 2 years ago to a hemorrhagic stroke. He was already very sick but it left an emptiness in me for a while. I instantly gained about 15lbs and didn't get them off until this year. Honestly, the thing that really helped keep me out of the dark pit were my 2 young girls. They constantly, even at the funeral,…
  • You can friend me. lol, I just got over a stomach bug myself, thanks to my 3 year old. Missed thanksgiving because of it. I've been doing well this year, 28lbs since May, but also want to make 2016 my year. Still have about 70lbs left to go.
  • usually on the nutrition label it will say "serving size is 1/2 cup (so many grams)" I usually use those grams to weigh as my guide to serving size.
  • Last time I went (which was years ago) they had an Apricot Chicken that was my favorite and was one of the lower calorie items served with veggies instead of pasta. Don't know if its still there.
