  • Are you still going?
  • It just seems cruel not to be able to eat beans on top of everything else! :D
  • you guys, what the hell can I have for breakfast that I can pick up on the run??
  • I am back too. I lost about 50lbs in 2012 doing primal, but have put it all back on after getting out of my hard won good habits after I got a new job. However I just turned 34 and had an epiphany that I need to start looking after myself. In addition after 20 months of NOT getting pregnant I need to get back on a healthy…
  • Well done on going!!
  • I know it's expensive, but I work out with a personal trainer once a week. At least it means I have to turn up. It helps that she's super nice, and we get on really well - she lets me lift heavy weights and skimp on the cardio! Other than that, it's so much easier if you can work out with a friend, could you do that? I got…
  • Hi, I am starting over as well. I lost a lot of weight in 2012 eating 80/20, but need a re-set, as about half has gone back on. In fact I started a Whole 30 yesterday. I do log, just because it helps keep me mindful about what I'm eating. So feel free to 'friend me'.
  • Mix it with spices (garlic, chilli, cumin corinader, paprika for example) and some oil. Fry it up with peppers, onions, maybe chorizo and have on top of the kale. Sriracha and maybe coriander on top!
  • Me too, in total as of today 3 stone back on (over about 18 months) BUT am re-committing and just started with a personal trainer, so PUTTING DOWN THE SOURDOUGH NOW! Good luck all! Plus feel free to add me
  • Just getting back into it after a lot of success last year, and less success this year following change in job/lifestyle. Please feel free to add me...
  • Yup, but be careful as you would with sweet potato
  • do add me if you like - the days I track I'm pretty compliant.
  • Surely one of the points of having the full fat stuff is that low/zero fat yoghurt is going to be full of thickeners, sweeteners and starches
  • 9 days to go for me; I started a little early so I would be done by my birthday (cunning). I've managed not to cheat (had some milk in coffee by accident, they added it to my order and then put a lid on. I only took one sip though so I'm not going to count that!). I have definitely been sleeping better, my skin is the best…
  • Peach salsa with chillies?! Would be great with chargrilled chicken or fish
  • Er...hell yeah! Healthier than my previous wine and deep fried snacks addiction though. And I have the smaller size to prove it :)
  • Why can't you have vinegar - page 1 says you can! http://whole9life.com/2012/08/the-whole30-program/ •Vinegar. Most forms of vinegar, including white, balsamic, apple cider, red wine, and rice, are allowed during your Whole30 program. The only exceptions are vinegars with added sugar, or malt vinegar, which generally…
  • I started this last Tuesday, so am on Day 8. I'm in! Feel pretty good, have more energy than usualy, and *ahem* *doffs British reserve* stomach really good which I'm wondering if is to do with cutting out dairy, as was already eating primal. http://whole9life.com/2012/01/whole-30-v2012/
  • Started yesterday!
  • Anyone feel free to add me. I've been primal since April, but have just started a Whole 30 as was starting to cheat a bit (mostly with booze-ahol)
  • I am going to start a Whole 30 this week when I get my copy of ISWF. I've been primal since April, but have continued to drink at the weekends and sometimes in the week (My excuse: I'm British!). While I've had really good results I'm hoping a focused month will mean I'm more moderate on the other side and give me a real…
  • Me - am now primal/paleo
  • Any UK peeps got any thoughts on this? I can never find anything in the terrible UK motorway services....a cold supermarket salad if you're lucky, and frankly that's not always very tempting!
  • the thing is they are like little sugar bombs, though sounds like you are having the best ones you can...I would just have a few maybe with some almonds (also high in potassium) x
  • About 30lbs since March - but I have cheated a lot!
  • Nothing cos peanuts are totally not paleo!! Try almond butter instead: on apples, just on a spoon, on some dark chocolate...yum!
  • I was a vegetarian for 4 years when I was a teenager (now aged 30) - that's when my weight problems started looking back!
  • I'm committed to this too, would love some paleo buddies. Started about a month ago and have done pretty well. If you friend me you'll see diary blank for past week, but that's cos I was on holiday with no internet access. May have had a few beers and other cheats (it's rude not to eat free tapas...) ;) Back on the horse…
  • The Soil Association which certifies products as organic in the UK has higher principles than just what an animal eats, i.e. they must also be free-range. More info here: http://www.soilassociation.org/whatisorganic/organicfarming Organic farm animals: ■Must have access to fields (when weather and ground conditions permit)…

  • UK meat is grass-fed in the main - we have fields of grass not corn over here!! Organic meat will certainly be grass-fed.
