  • Because 100% of dogs are nicer than 99% of humans.
  • Kettlebells are my favorite workout equipment, bar none! I have been working with then for a couple years now and they are still my first choice for a workout. I work out at home now but I highly recommend a class if you are just learning. Proper technique is EVERYTHING, not only for positive results, but also so that you…
  • Jarrow makes a plain unflavored unsweetened whey powder that I've gotten really fond of. It's blah on its own but on the upside there is no added crap you don't want, and you have lots of flexibility to make it whatever you want. Add fruit, coffee, kale, whatever. :) Hope this helps! I buy mine on Amazon but I imagine you…
  • We do a little yoga during warm up and cooldown in my bellydancing classes and I really enjoy what we do for that. I'd like to get a good yoga DVD but I don't want the ones that play trippy music and make you feel like you should be smoking cannabis in your friend's basement. Are there any normal person yoga DVDs?…
  • It's been a long time since I dated, LOL, but along with acceptable effort at being a productive member of society and sharing my offbeat sense of humor, we need to stand on similar political and spiritual ground. These topics may not matter so much to some, but they do to me.
  • It's funny you posted this - my coworker has this same thing and just discovered the Misophonia condition. He can't stand any kind of repetitive noise. He almost has a stroke whenever our other coworker chews gum. LOL Long story short, you're not alone! P.S. Husky, I'm the same way - I can't stand two simultaneous…
  • In theory you're right - it should take care of itself ... Just a tidbit to chew on, though, my friend - You have to be careful with low fat stuff. Low fat almost always means more added sugar. And sugar is a severely underrated saboteur. I have been experimenting with clean eating for a few years now. I always feel better…
  • D'OOOOHHHH!!! I'm glad I replied in a comment before clicking on your newsfeed notification. Imma gonna kick your butt now. ;)
  • For what it's worth, I eat tons of eggs, oftentimes more than 2 a day, and my cholesterol is textbook. It is my personal opinion, based on a lot of research, that much struggle with weight lies in too many processed products including and especially sugar and flours. Your body loves and needs healthy fats and protein…
  • I've been eating some protein and a veggie. (example, a couple hard boiled eggs and some sliced cucumber) Makes me feel pretty good  Hope this helps! :flowerforyou:
  • Heck yeah! I love it!
  • I have used several but my tried and true are always the Kettlebell Bombshell DVDs by Lisa Balash. The Kettlebell is far and away my favorite exercise equipment ever! :)
  • I eat Paleo most of the time, and yes, I feel a squillion times better when I do! :)

  • Season 5 of The Big Bang Theory. :)
  • Hi Sherri I do not have celiacs but I do try to avoid gluten and grains in general because I just feel better without them. (I'm a Paleo Lifestyle fan  ). I'm far from perfect with it but I try to stay on point more often than not! Also, one of my best friends has celiacs so it's near and dear to my heart as it is.…
  • Well - you know I dig the paleo vibe. I'm not faithful to it all the time but I do swear I feel much better when I am. You can't beat meat, veggies, fruit and nuts! That being said, these are my two go-to books, honey - I hope you find them helpful if you decide to check them out! This one is more of the sciency, hows and…
  • Avocadoes. I can't stand avocadoes. Tastes nasty, texture is nasty. Too bad because they're like THE best source of healthy fat.
  • People scoff at this but I truly think sugar is an addictive substance. Not in the same sense as nocotine or heroin maybe, but the more you eat the more you want. And it takes some real guts and determination to "give it up". As others have said, if you can just stay away from sugar and sweeteners (yes, sweeteners too) for…
  • I have several kettlebell DVDs and Lisa Balash is my favorite (Kettlebell Bombshell).
  • We're in the same boat, lady. I've done paleo (and its derivatives) off and on over the past few years. I struggle - STRUGGLE - to lose weight no matter what, but when I eat paleo/primal I FEEL a million times better on the inside. That's got to count for something :) Paleo has plenty of carbs, Flyered - just from fruits…
  • I was just telling someone in my bd class the same thing the other day. Rachel has NO BONES! She's so awesome. :)

  • Hi everyone! My name is Laura. I've been bellydancing off and on for several years and am just recently furthering my instructions. My fascination began about 28 years ago - I had a boyfriend in high school whos mother was a bellydancer. She used to practice new routines for us and her transformation from sweet 40-ish mom…

  • I usually drink my coffee black but when I use cream I love So Delicious Coconut Milk too. It's mega creamy. I don't like sweetened coffee so I go with the plain - but this hazelnut sounds pretty good :). Is it additionally sweetened, or just flavored without added sweetener?
  • I rarely weigh myself. Once a month maybe. I go much more with the tape measure and how things fit. At the very least use both measuring and the scale in tandem. The scale can be so deceptive and defeating! Best wishes :flowerforyou:
  • I rarely unfriend, but I do get unfriended a lot. Probably due to my logging in record. Sometimes I can't log in for a few days. It doesn't mean I'm not committed, it means I have a busy life that sometimes prevents me from getting on the computer every day. I feel I am a good and supportive friend here - But if people…
  • Agreed with many of the other posters ... some foods/beverages can help detoxify and/or energize you, but it's probably more of the act of replacing caloric solids with non caloric liquids that helps with the weight loss aspect.
  • I can't really think of anything. I must have no pride.
  • Oh Gawd yes. He almost borders on too pretty for me (I like rugged men) but his sensuality pushes him over the finish line.
  • There are so many!   But you know I am fond of SERENITY NOW
