  • 1986 baby! Oh yeah, and I'm one of those people that thinks 1990 was only ten years ago :)
  • I'd love to be down 8 pounds for the month of February, but I know that I con't keep up a 2 lb/week loss for an entire month, especially around midterms. I am shooting for 6 pounds total, which should be enough to make me feel good and motivated. At the same time, it won't be too much to make me consider dropping the diet.
  • I had never tried the balsamic vinegar before, though I am a big fan of sweet pickle relish with tuna. I mix the relish in with the tuna and miracle whip in my grilled tuna sandwiches. So good. Thanks for the balsamic vinegar idea. Tuna and crackers rocks!
  • Tuna is wonderful. Honestly, I love grilled tuna fish sandwiches the most. They're so hearty and not that high on the calorie scale. Just make sure to use light miracle whip when doing so. 50 kcal slices of bread don't hurt either. Edit: My wife likes to make tuna macaroni and cheese. It's not bad.
  • For me, it's all about the caloric value in pasta and bread that kicks my butt. Portion wise, I can eat larger servings without reaching satiety with pasta than nearly any other food out there. When I eat those large portions of pasta, the meals tend to be three to four times what I would have eaten with other types of…
  • Grilled cow udder...that's gotta trump everything :(
  • Spaghetti and Pizza, not necessarily together (an interesting thought though). I still want to eat 3-4 cups of spaghetti or 4 slices of pizza in one sitting. I try to avoid both of them as much as possible.
  • 6 foot, 253 lbs, size 42 (down from 44!).
  • Welcome to My Fitness Pal. We're happy to have another member. Let's scratch each other's backs, figuratively speaking of course :) Send me an invite if you like.
  • MFP is a bit liberal with the calories lost. I agree with the above statement that you should get a Heart Rate Monitor to see.
  • Is it like Memoirs?
  • I don't hate fat people, especially since i'm one of them. I just hate fat, it's like the plague. What good does it do anyway? I mean, it's not like it cushions your organs and provide valuable energy stores for a long and scarce winter  Edit: Buckwheat always beats me to the post :(
  • What would buckwheat do? that's classic!
  • In addition to working out in the gym twice a week, I jog to lunch every day. 5 minutes to Subway and five minutes back. It's not much, but then again, that's kinda why I go to the gym :)
  • Just don't jump into some weird (complicated, hard to understand) machine and you'll be fine. Just find the ellipticals and jump on one of those. Observe the way that others work on some of the machines so that when you get up the drive to work on them, you'll already know how it is supposed to look. That should keep you…
  • I asked this same question to my physician and he said that I shouldn't eat them back. It is my personal opinion that you should not eat back your exercise calories and that by doing so assures that you have an added boost in the amount of calories (and pounds) that you burn. This works for me though it may not work for…
  • Almost anything between 9:00pm and midnight. Not busy = eating. I hate being a boredom eater.
  • Freckles, the more the better. I had a crush (are men permitted to say that or do I have to surrender my man card?) in high school that had freckles all over her face and shoulders, the kind of freckles that start to fuse together into one gigantic mass. Yeah, that's awesome. Unfortunately, my wife doesn't have that many…
  • Yeah, yesterday was a big sin day for me :( I ate: 2 slices of pizza 4 cinnamon breasticks (with Icing) 2 handfuls of Peanut M&Ms 1 Baked Potato 3 Baked carrots 1/2 of a cucumber 5 oz. Roasted Pork 1 Small salad (Caesar dressing) 2 pieces of peppermint bark (Ghiradelli) 2 pieces of spice cake 1 scoop vanilla ice cream 1…
  • I got fat because I developed poor eating habits from as early as my mid teens. My family (everyone else is fairly fit) never emphasized portion control and daily exercise (not sports). My interests also led me to countless hours sitting in front of a TV or a computer monitor playing video games and mindlessly munching on…
  • Seriously, even though I am now happily married, I miss the double-takes that I would get from the girls at the gym. It made me proud of my body, such pride I currently don't have.
  • Our border collie mix Bella is currently vying for the "alpha" position with her adoptive aunt. Bless her soul, I think she might someday get it.
  • I'd hypothesize that your BMR is somewhere between 2000-2100. Try maintaining a modest 300-400 calorie deficit and hitting a caloric intake level of 1600-1700 daily. Edit: You beat me to the punch :)
  • You are very much like me. I find I have a higher consumption of sodium than is ideal and I tend to eat the majority of my calories after 3:00pm. You should try to have a big breakfast, a medium size lunch and a light dinner (plus snacks throughout the day). That's what I am trying to do. A larger breakfast helps the…
  • Every Saturday morning after using the restroom. Weigh in naked (except for my ring) on the Wii.

  • Yogurt, Honey bunches of oats (or granola), and blueberries. Layer them for two delicious layers. Pretty filling and under 300 kcals too.
  • Yeah, I'd really like to know how he tries to explain himself out of this one. You got a cheater on your hands :( Sorry
  • Don't hate on the genetics :) It's when they're staring at the twins and addressing them rather than you that gets a bit weird.
