  • I have arsenic in my well and my water is not suitable to drink. Drilling a new well may result in a higher arsenic concentration, as it is naturally occurring and quite common in Maine. I have to buy bottled water. A regular filter will not resolve the issue, but I can buy a $10,000 filtration system that would take out…
  • I am starting the 17th or 18th!! :)
  • so glad to see this thread! I love quest bars and had been wondering about the chips. Thanks for sharing!
  • well, I am 5'1". My goal weight is actually around 120-125lbs, maybe as low as 115lbs but for me personally, anything lower than that would be way too thin for me.
  • I am also a 38DD and also have a big ol belly! honestly, it is what it is. Get a GOOD sports bra. dont buy anything sized S, M, L, XL. You need one sized like normal bra sizes They arent cheap. Amazon has some good ones, under armour, etc. They run $36-$55 or so, in my experience. Its very worth it though!!
  • YES! MFP is set up so that you eat back what you burn. Keep in mind though, that the MFP calorie burn amounts are an estimate, and are often higher than actual cals burned, but you do need to eat some (or most) of them back. Also, you may actually see better results with higher calorie intake, even though it sounds the…
  • I don't like PB2 for mixing with water and creating PB. I do LOVE my PB2 to add to my chocolate shakes/protein drinks. its sooooooo delish!
  • you can add me too if there is still room! :)
  • ^^^^ This. It may never go away. I have read previously that it sometimes doesn't really go down, even after weight loss. Mine is a lot bigger than it was when I was young, but, eh. It may always be "puffy" after gaining. I previously lost 55lbs and it pretty much stayed just as padded there.
  • congrats on all of your hard work and dedication!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Great job!
  • great job getting back in the right mindset to eat more to lose weight! you look great!!
  • I have a Polar Ft60 and I love it. I feel like I am getting a much more accurate calorie burn number, as the MFP estimates were way off for me. the Polar website has some handy tools to compare models and different functions, and I price shopped from there and found the best deal for the one I wanted on Amazon.com at the…
  • a friend of mine on facebook posted this the other day, in regards to cooking, eating well, and staying on a really tight budget. She has a family of four. "Sunday dinner. Mmm. A roast chicken, roasted baby red potatoes(with a couple of sweet potatoes tossed in, too) and bacon balsamic sautéed collard greens with…
  • even though its already been said 10 or 15 times, I will say it again, PLEASE eat more! I know it sounds like the opposite of what you should do, but you need more net calories. 1200 is low, even for myself at 5'1". Netting anything below 1200 will most certainly NOT help you lose weight.
  • I LOVE mud and obstacle races. I don't love running, so the fun ones with obstacles make it way more fun for me :) Zombies sound great!
  • feel free to add me and look at my diary, I eat between 1200-1400 most days. You may need to increase yours, if that is too low for you. you can customize everything. (for example, if you chose to lose 2lbs per week, you can increase cals a bit and still lose 1 lb a week) Plus, add in your exercises and you will get…
  • hey there, i agree with some of the other comments above, but i can identify with "coming back". November 2012-October 2012 i lost 50-55lbs both with MFP and with a lot of exercise and hard work. I injured my knee, and couldnt do the work outs i had been doing, got lazy, fast forward to last July and had knee surgery, and…
  • 5'1", aiming for around 125 and strong- lots of muscle!
  • I am ordering PiYo this week, and I do have the 21 day fix program, so I could potentially do a hybrid as well! Would love to be in your group.
  • This sounds amazing! Thank you!
  • look at you! great progress!!! Sounds like you have found a plan that works for you, great job!
  • 1 box of low fat brownie mix 1 can of black beans (dont drain, just dump the whole can in the blender) mix pureed beans and brownie mix, then bake. Thats it! sooo good, and no, it will not taste like beans! Tastes like regular brownies.
  • Love this post!
  • i also love the chicken cranberry apple salad from burger king, no dressing and i get no bleu cheese My other go-to is Wendys Berry almond chicken salad. The full size one is 360 cals with the almonds and does not need dressing. It is really really yummy!!
  • congrats! I am another with similar stats and build to you! I am 5'1" and started at 193ish in November (14/16) down 45-50lbs currently and somewhat plateaued since April. still have a ways to go, but currently in a size 6-8. still have 20lbs or so t ogo though. Awesome job, you look amazing!!

  • When i was 13-14, my grandparents lived next door to us. During the winter, i went to their house pretty much every night to play cards. They would always say stuff like that! One day it was "you are getting to be big.You are turning into a fat Maine Girl!" (we had just moved from MA to ME). LITERALLY the next night it was…
  • same here, i dont have a true before photo, well, i do, but i have a shirt on! Can i ask what you did for meal replacements?
  • ahhh, same here, i kept changing, no luck. I am trying to focus on fitness. Glad you pushed through that plateau! I am the same height as you, and not 100% sure on my "goal weight". I think i wont know for sure until i am there. I know how i want to look ,and that i want a healthy BF% though! You are looking great, and the…
