Not the best ever, but still pretty good, replace your eggs & oil with a can of pumpkin for a brownie mix. :-)

I use any brownie recipe or packaged mix and substitute pureed black beans and a little water for the eggs and oil. They turn out very tasty. My kids said they would have been the best brownies in the world if I hadn't have burned the edges :) I love Ghiradelli triple chocolate brownie mix.

in a chocolate cake recipe I use applesause instead of oil. You can't tell. Never have tried it with brownies.

This is the one I want to try the applesauce in instead of oil but haven't tried it yet.

Whether for brownie/cake mix or anything else that requires eggs, I would use the egg substitutes - like Egg Beaters. Yes, they are more expensive..but they have 0 cholesterol and have less calories than eggs.

Soy milk is also low in fat and carbs. I like the Light Soy Milk but I tend to get the Silk Soy Milk with DHA Omega-3 (to note, it also has 30% more calcijm than milk).

1 box of low fat brownie mix
1 can of black beans (dont drain, just dump the whole can in the blender)
mix pureed beans and brownie mix, then bake. Thats it! sooo good, and no, it will not taste like beans! Tastes like regular brownies.

I don't have a brownie one but I use coconut sugar to replace white/brown sugar (it doesn't taste like coconut) and that cuts down on calories a decent amount. Also, applesauce instead of oil or egg whites I stead of whole eggs, but only if you don't want some fat in there.

I tried pumpkin muffins with yellow cake mix + can of pumpkin and those ended up being about 25 calories MORE calories (not to mention loads more sugar & processed stuff!) than my own homemade pumpkin muffins using half ww flour, half ap flour, whole eggs, applesauce and coconut sugar. Even with chocolate chips in them! So just beware of those mixes...

just bake them at the temp and times the brownie mix says to use, no changes??
