  • Hey everyone, I'm just checking in. I haven't been doing much strength training this week due to my work sched. I have kept up with my cardio and good eating habits though :) Yesterday was the last day of Biggest Loser at work. I lost 17.2 lbs in 6 weeks!! Just had to brag a bit, I was quite excited. Have a great rest of…
  • Yeah! My scale finaly moved again.. in the right direction. I am 210 as of this morning and my new 4 week goal is 202. I will try to get in some strength training. It is sooo tempting to just get on the treadmill and burn lots of calories. I know that in the long run, it's the combination of the two that will get me where…

  • Glad to hear from you again rosered, way to pick yourself up and dust yourself off! This WILL be a better week. I worked my butt off this past week and had the water weight gain too, it can be very depressing. I too, felt like giving up, but if we do, nothing changes and we don't learn to push ourselves. We can do this!!…
  • I just read these posts and am about dying laughing... my girls came downstairs and wanted to know what what I was watching on TV!! Just wondering who in their right mind would buy this product when it comes with a "dark pants" warning... on the up side... could be a good marketing tool.. stock dark pants next to it,…

  • *covering my face as I post *:frown: I am breaking the downward trend... I'm up 1.5 lbs this week. This is a first for me... hopefully it's just because of TOM. I'll keep at it, I've been working too hard to give up. I'll rejoice with the rest of you and hope to be back with you next week!! Have a great weekend…
  • 30 minutes for me today... I needed to mix it up a bit and did my power sculpt dvd too. The scale is hating me this week :explode: Darn water weight!!

  • 80 mins. for me today... have to make up for tomorrow.. I have a late meeting at school. Everyone is doing great on this challenge, every little bit you can sneak in even when you are busy and the weather is bad helps.
  • I admit it... I like Richard Simmons tapes. I mix them in with the treamill and Biggest loser dvds. I like him because he is so encouraging.
  • 60 minutes for me today. It's our youngest daughter's 13th b-day today, going to use a few of my exercise calories to celebrate
  • Welcome Rick, this is an awesome group.... very supportive and encouraging! This is the 4th week of our 4 week challenge and we will be setting new goals and continuing on. This week's challenge is walking and posting your time. Welcome again!

  • Being a primary caregiver is a huge responsibility. Your mother is very fortunate to have you :) It's hard when you want to do what is best for someone else, but also want to put yourself first. Your health is very important to being able to give care for your mother. Keep doing what you are doing... eating right and…

  • I'm with the majority.. cheating is too big if a temptation for me.. BUT, there are ways to have foods you like with out going bananas (which throw my sugar numbers off, but that is a different topic). I typically have 550-600 exercise calories and I have a hard time eating more than 200-300 of them. For my "cheat" I'll…

  • Thanks for the new challenge and all of the organizing that you are doing! I'll be ready to lace up my walking shoes:drinker: Good Luck everyone!!
  • That was me for the previous 2 weeks. I made myself eat more of my exercise calories and take a day off a week to rest... this week I had a nice loss. Check your inches and hang in there... it evens out over time.
  • good morning everyone, I haven't been checking in daily on the message boards...very busy week at school.. but I have been keeping track of everything. I stayed under my calorie allotment every day, I did stuggle to stay under on sugar and protein several days. When I eat fruit (which I love) it throws off the sugar…
  • I have the Biggest Loser one. I like it alot... I like to mix things up.. treadmill, yoga, power sculpting etc. that way I don't get bored.
  • I do this as well.. it is just eaiser to log the total minutes and calories burned. Also... my polar 6 HRM states that I burn many more calories than my treadmill read out. I'm sure that it is due to my weight and age.. I love my HRM!!! It keeps me in the zone.
  • Congratulations!! Isn't it a great feeling??!!!
  • No cardio for me today... taking the night off because all three of our girls are gone doing various things and hubby is taking me out :) Down 1.5 lbs this week Way to go everyone... even if the scales don't show all of our hard work as much as we'd like them too.. get out your measuring tapes and that should be…
  • Way to go... btw... you look a bit like the Olson twins in their good years! :)
  • I tried to quote rosered, but something went terribly wrong and ended up looking like the entire statement was mine. Gotta love technology. Also... 45 min. of cardio for me. I put in an oldie... low impact Richard!! That helped my shins and knees.
  • Also, for those of you who pray, please pray for my hubby, he is getting laid off and we would appreciate prayer for a new job. Thanks! [/quote] I will keep you in my prayers. Lay-offs are happening all around us... more where my hubby works this week. It is constantly on our minds. I will pray for him (self-esteem....…
  • 45 mins. for me today. I started exercising 4 weeks ago and have done 60 minutes of cardio a day with toning on some as well. I have been afraid to take a day off because I worry that I won't want to exercise the next day. I think it is starting to take it's toll on my shins and knees. I lost 7 lbs my first 2 weeks and…
