Hello everyone. I am 42 years old looking to lose 35lbs. I recently just had my RMR checked at the fitness center I belong to; my RMR is 1790; I guess I'm not sure what to do now with this new found information. love my FT7. The treadmill calorie read outs at the end of my workout are several calories over estimated. The treadmill would say I burned 330 calories in 30 mins and my polar would read 270. I record my Polar cals. Also, MFP overestimates activity levels as well.

I wasn't eating VLC, around 1600 but my exercise was taking be well below my bmr. I did not do a reset, I upped my cals to about 2000, gained2 lbs was there for about 3 weeks and finally lost the 2 and additinoal 1.5.

Continue to lift your 10lbs but increase repetitions lets say you do 10-12 reps, increase to 15. You can instead of repetitions, time your self for 45 secs. doing your 10lbs. You can also decrease your rest time between sets to make it more difficult. Just suggestions :smile:

Welcome!! I eat lots. I actually had to de-friend some people because they were stuck on eating only 1200 calories and netting 800. So I need friends that eat too! :flowerforyou:

I'm sorry to hear that. I do have experience with pets and Diabetes. I had a cat with Diagnoised with diabetes when he was 2yrs. old. We had to feed him wet food 2x daily, and give him insulin shots 2x daily. Once he got used the food and shots he was fine. We gave him his shots and fed him roughly the same time each day…

You can try mixing up your sets and lbs. Example: Chest Press 12 reps at 10lbs rest no more than 1 minute 10 reps at 15lbs rest no more than 1 minute 8reps at 20 lbs rest no more than 1 minute 6 reps at 25lbs rest no more than 1 minute 12 reps at 15 lbs no rest Immediately do 1 more set of another exercise for that muscle…

So as a professional in the field, I suggest that if you are going to the gym at differnt times of the day and want to work with a trainer, which sounds like you do, then its a great way to get in different workouts if you can't meet with the same trainer everytime. I usually make my own. 1 scoop vanilla protein powder 1/2 banana 3-4 frozen strawberries ice cubes 1/4 cup apple juice Blend well. One of my favorites.

You may want to vary your workout. You stated that you have done Insanity 2 x's now, change it up. Challenge yourself with new and different exercise your body is not used to doing. I would also increase your protein slightly and you may want to increase your calorie intake and eat your exercise calories!!!!
