  • I had a Mirena put in in July. I've lost nearly 30lbs since September so it hasn't affected my weight loss at all.
  • A proper fitting bra does wonders. I recently started wearing an Elomi Cate style bra and the straps don't dig into my shoulders and there isn't any pain. I've lost 20lbs so far and have gone down a band size, but the cup size is still the same equivalent. As others have said, I'd probably lose the weight first and then…
  • Hi! I hope you don't mind me jumping in. I'm Tracie. I'm a 41 y/o SAHM of 2. I recomitted myself last week to losing weight. I'm 5'3, SW: 226.8, CW: 222.6. For the first 2 weeks, I'm just focusing on basic goals and easing myself into things. I'm drinking at least 6 cups of water a day and getting in 5000 steps. And of…
  • I love kitchen gadgets so I have a lot of them. My Kitchenaid mixer and Instant Pot see a lot of use. I also have a Cuisinart Griddler and a small Breville convection toaster oven that also get used several times a week. I make several batches of homemade yogurt in my yogurt maker as well.
  • Anyone feel free to add me. I'm 41 and in NJ. I have 2 kids and am a SAHM. I have over 80lbs to lose. I just finished my first week of restarting.
  • It's possible and definitely worth it. I have to lose at least 80lbs.
  • I'm a mom of 2 (14 & 9). I'm looking to lose at least 80lbs.
  • I grew up in Pittsburgh although I don't use the "yinz" which normally depicts someone from Pittsburgh. "Pop" has also become soda which is from living in the Philly/southern NJ area for the last 15 years. Some words are a dead give away though. To my ears Don and Dawn are said the same way. It would drive my coworkers…
  • I'm 5'3" and at 195. I'm in a size 14-16. The 14 can button, but still need about 5lbs more to fit a bit more comfortable.
  • And the he's so hot's and biting her lip.
  • It started out as a Twilight fanfiction called Master of the Universe. She changed the names, took out the paranormal elements and added in BDSM-lite. I only read the first book to see what all of the hype was about. I went into it expecting to hate it. It wasn't as bad as I expected, but not good either. The writing is…
  • Agree with what someone else said. I had my gallbladder removed 3 years ago. Without a gallbladder high fat foods will give you problems. Some people report having to run to the bathroom almost immediately.
  • The first time I did 30DS I was 210 and 5'3" This time around I'm around 200. So yes it is possible, but it is hard. It is ok to modify the moves to fit you. It is better to do what you can than to do nothing at all. If jumping jacks are too much then do one leg at a time or substitute another cardio move in its place. I…
  • Great job getting it done and sticking with it. I think I despise level 1. I'm not a fan of jumping jacks followed by jumping rope. It kills my calves. I still do girly push ups.
  • I did day 3 of level 2 and am still loving it. The planks are definitely a killer. I was able to make it through everything except the chair squats with v raises. My shoulders start to kill me about 1/2 way through. I think tomorrow I may try it w/o the weights and see how it goes or maybe use the lighter weights.
  • I love this one. At one time I considered putting a picture of her in front of my treadmill for motivation.
  • My plan is to do the workout Monday through Saturday with Sunday as a rest day. I took days 7-9 off because level 1 is rough on my ankles and knees. The first time I did 30DS 3 years ago I ended up with an ankle injury that lasted 3 weeks. So now I listen to my body. I came back to it yesterday on day 10 and moved up to…
  • If you are really hungry then eat. It is your body telling you that it needs more.
  • Today is my day 11 (I started Apr 30th). I took 3 rest days on days 7-9 and then skipped to level 2 yesterday on my day 10. I felt I was ready for level 2. I've had the dvd for a couple of years so like you I knew what to expect.
  • A regular salad is usually lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, roasted red peppers, and feta cheese. Sometimes I like to put chicken and apples in it with walnuts. Sometimes I'll add chick peas. I'm from Pittsburgh. A very common salad is a steak salad. It is a salad with steak and french fries on it. Occasionally I'll make a…
  • We still have pizza at least every 2 weeks. I make it at home so I make a whole wheat crust. I portion it out to make personal pizzas. I load mine up with all sorts of veggies.
  • Me too. I think that is why I like level 2. There is a lot less jumping.
  • Welcome. You got great advice. Yes it will hurt. The pain goes away after about 4 days. Don't be afraid to modify any of the moves despite what Jillian says. Listen to your body. If you feel pain in your knees or ankles then stop and rest.
  • I love level 2. I switched today. It is hard. I was dripping sweat from the first move, but I know that it is working.
  • I took a rest day Sunday because my calf and hip were killing me. And then Monday & Tuesday due to back pain. I think I am going to keep Sunday as the rest day. It was nice to give my body a break for one day. I find 30DS very hard on my knees and ankles with a lot of the jumping moves.
  • I don't blame you. I was going to do the same thing. I only checked my waist because I noticed my pants were a lot looser than the last time I wore them. I'm sure you'll notice something the end of the 30 days.

  • I took the past 3 days off due to calf/hip/ankle & back issues. I'm getting back into it today with level 2. I've lost 1.5 inches from my waist. I measured yesterday because my jeans were noticeably loser in my waist and lower ab area. I'll do official measurements on day 15 and day 30.

  • Quaker 1 minute oats are 150 calories for 1/2 cup (40 g) dry so it would be unprepared
  • I got day 6 in yesterday. Weekends are definitely harder. Both kids are home and my routine is off. Today I took a rest day because my left leg was hurting. My eating has been really on point for a couple of weeks now.
  • I still girly pushups which are a workout enough on my arms. I may attempt real ones sometime this week. Kep2005 - Today was my day 7 and I actually took a rest day. My left calf, hip, and ankle were really hurting so I felt my body needed a day off.
