  • I've read that if the head is above the shoulders it is ok to workout, but below then no. I always go on how I'm feeling though. If you feel really awful it is better to rest and let your body get better.
  • This is my goto recipe from All Recipes. http://allrecipes.com/recipe/good-old-fashioned-pancakes I make a view changes 1/2 whole wheat flour & 1/2 all-purpose flour substitute 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce for the butter I've used skim milk, 2%, or almond milk all with good results (I've also soured the milk with…
  • When I used to do the 30DS regularly level 2 was my favorite to go back to. It always seemed to burn the most calories. I haven't done it in over a year though so I'm interested to see how I'll do. Just 5 more days of level 1 for me.

  • I agree with the others. Ibuprofen and do what you can. It is ok to modify the moves if you need to. Better to do something than nothing.
  • Great job starting. I also record it as circuit training.
  • I like dijon mustard and also balsamic vinegar
  • If you stick with it, you'll notice a huge improvement by day 4. The first couple of days are hell. I 2nd the recommendation for Ibuprofen. Modify the moves if you need to.
  • The bicycle crunches are killer. Today was the first day that I've ever done all of them. I've had the DVD for 3 years so that is saying a lot. I just pushed through it today out of sheer stubborness. I had completed everything else and wasn't going to let them get the best of me.
  • I did day 3 this morning. My thighs are very sore everytime I get up from sitting. I have a feeling my upper back and arms are going to be hurting tomorrow. I already noticed a huge improvement in my endurance today.
  • I'm on day 3. I still modify some of the cardio moves. I find the butt kicks put too much strain on my ankles so I sub running in place instead. Today I did the jumping jacks most of the way. I was also able to finally complete the set of bicycle crunches. Something is always better than nothing. It really does get easier…

  • This is going to be my main workout. I will probably do a yoga dvd 2 or 3 times a week and walking when the weather is nice.
  • I did day 2 today. I'm trying to make it the first thing I do as soon as I get back from taking my son to the bus stop. That way it is over and done with before I find excuses not to do it. It was easier today. I was able to complete all but 2 sets (2nd set of lunges & bicycle crunches). My legs were a little sore from…
  • I'd love to join. I just started it today. I did 30 days 3 years ago and today it was just as hard then.
  • Congrats! What an awesome accomplishment.
  • I don't understand what people getting out of being mean to someone else. You are doing an awesome job!
  • When I did it a while I ago I did it on its own. Once my fitness improved then I'd do it with either walking or other short DVDs. I haven't been exercising for a while and plan to start again on Monday. I'm going to only do it and maybe some yoga and walking with the kids on nice days.
  • I did 30 days a while ago and then kept it in my regular DVD rotation. I plan to start another 30 day round on Monday.
  • I'm 5'3" Large build I currently weigh 210 lbs and wear a size 16 pants My goal weight is 130-140 because it is a healthy range for me. 35 years old I have 2 kids 8 & 3.
  • I'd quit look at that overall weight to lose and try breaking it down into smaller and more measurable goals. That way you'll have more goals to reach and it would keep you motivated.
  • Typically I'll have a whole wheat English muffin with a little bit of light butter and 1/2 cup of cottage cheese. Sometimes I'll make a breakfast sandwich with Egg Beaters, veggie sausage patty, and reduced fat cheese. Another thing is I'll make a huge batch of whole wheat pancakes or waffles on the weekend and then freeze…
  • I believe in everything in moderation. I replace sugar with Splenda in my coffee to cut the calories. I occasionally have a diet soda when I'm in the mood for one.
  • My son i allergic to peanuts so no peanut butter in our house. I've been buying whole almonds and making almond butter in my food processor.
  • No need to feel guilty. You worked for them eat them. If you find that your weight loss slows then maybe only eat a portion of them. If you are losing consistently then your body needs the nutrition.
  • I have probably around 80 to lose or so and am also a SAHM. I had lost 40 and then put it back on. :( In it for the long haul now.
  • I started in 2009 and got down to 171. Over the past 2 years I've since put all but 1 lb back on. I noticed even with a 20lb gain that I felt more tired and uncomfortable. So for me the motivation is to feel better. With 40lbs I feel awful. I miss exercise and the endurance that I had built up.
  • It definitely depends on the person. It seems to be the place that I gain and lose weight from first.
  • I eat some of them. If I'm hungry or want a treat I'll eat all of them.
  • It's not a true gain. It is just water wait from all of the salt. In a day or 2 it will be gone. You'd have to have eaten 10500 calories over your maintenance calories to have gained that much.
  • I loved this post. Thanks for the reminders and sound advice.
  • I wouldn't advise dong the HCG diet. You are young and it may start a cycle that isn't healthy for your body. You are already at a healthy BMI for you height. Your body just may not want to lose any more. I'd try working on toning up to see if that gets the results you are looking for.
