LOL! There is always a reason to NOT start a lifestyle change. I am ready, regardless of the upcoming holidays. As I said, I will eat whatever I want on Thanksgiving. But that's it. =)
-
And I'm starting today. Those of you who want to start after Thanksgiving can do that if you want. =) Makes the first week a bit more tolerable since I can look forward to a glass of wine on Thursday.
-
That's true. But it's not allowed in this challenge, LOL

TurboFire Schedule: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1bDsTp6KSGstrRqRfp0hqohocQJ9ietj2elIEp8qzz28/edit Let me know if that link doesn't work, I can email it to you.

LOL!

Well, I would consider TurboFire sort of dancing. Best cardio program and best music EVER IMO. Here's a video to give you an idea: http://getfitwithelaine.blogspot.com/2011/10/turbofire-sizzle.html

The hard thing for me is getting enough fat. So I've been adding more olive oil and nut butters and this week I'm going to add in 1/2 avocado per day as well. I also added in fish oil/flax oil supplements. It's certainly a different mindset to change my goals to FIFTY PERCENT fat! LOL
-
Good plan! =)

I take one rest/recovery day per week. Some weeks that means no workouts, some weeks that means extended stretch. It really depends what kind of workouts you are doing. I'm doing P90X so I'm not using the same body parts on back to back days. Elaine

Got the stand FREE with my order! Woot woot!
-
Yes! That's what I did. I think it's the perfect combination of strength training and cardio. Elaine
-
Best cardio program on the planet. My endurance is through the roof now. I wasn't really trying to lose more weight when I did it, but it's awesome. Elaine
-
Yes, it's possible, but hard. Your body holds onto that last bit of fat for dear life. So it's a fine line between enough cardio, good muscle mass and eating clean. Have you thought about maybe a cleanse? Elaine

This is my favorite: What I’d like to know is where are the sections for soda, chips, beer, fast food, and the hot case down at your local AM/PM mini mart? Because, from what I’ve seen, this should make up most of My Plate, assuming that when they say “My” they mean “American”.

For hummus in particular, or nut butters, I eat rye crisps. Ryvita is the brand she mentioned. Very clean for a "processed" cracker. Minimal ingredients. =) Elaine

Well, I haven't gotten bored of Tony and I'm on my 3rd round, lol. But maybe I'm weird. =) Have you decided which schedule you want to follow? Lean or Classic? You have a couple of options. One would be to follow whichever schedule you decide on, but just extend the schedule when you do other exercises. So don't skip a…

Stacie - you look awesome! Arms and back look amazing! Elaine
-
Makes sense. I've tried to be a runner, but it's just not for me.
-
I don't log my worouts so I'm not much help. :-(
-
Thank you! So do you stick strictly to the Lean schedule and ADD in running or do you replace a workout with running?
-
Inferno Plan is only supposed to be 5 days right? And I don't get the concept of "eating" your exercise calories. I always just follow the plan with my programs and don't worry about what I'm burning.

P90X results are designed to PEAK during the last 5 weeks. Keep going! I did 30DS before P90X too and P90X got me MUCH better results. Here's a note about it on my FB page: http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=177311935645694 Good luck and keep pushing play! Elaine

Awesome!

Ate some pre-marinated coconut curry tempeh last night. Not so sure I'm a big fan, but I bought 3 more packaged (one is garlic something and two are plain tempeh) so I guess I have time to try it out different ways. Just printed out a recipe for tempeh bacon! http://www.vegetariantimes.com/recipes/10560?section=

Two recipes I have made this week and both are really good: http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Moroccan-Lentil-Salad/Detail.aspx http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Quinoa-and-Black-Bean-Chili/Detail.aspx

OMG - couldn't even get through it. That's what pushed me over the edge. It started for health reasons but I get upset when my kid's pet fish or hermit crab dies. I was just kidding myself pretending it was OK to eat animals because I didn't actually SEE them killed. Ugg. Anyway, not to get too far off track - I just look…

I'm in too! Just started eating vegetarian this week! In the meantime it is forcing me to learn how to cook, lol. I used to just live on plain chicken/fish and veggies but it has always been in the back of my head to become vegetarian. So I am officially making the leap. Have you guys seen Forks Over Knives? I posted some…
