I pre-log all of my food before I eat, having a plan for my entire day helps me not obsess on it all day, and gives me hard fast rules for what I can eat today.

I have always bowed down to the beast, and had something salty and sweet. I have been trying to plan ahead and have something healthier to cheat with...Like PB2 mixed with yogurt with apples....

Funny since intake/out take of calories is science, and taught in college health...Darn scientist with all there facts and stuff....Kind of like the Twinkies experiment...he lost weight counting calories eating Twinkies only.

I go through periods of weighing daily, then months without! It all depends on my mind set. If I notice that I'm getting hung up on the numbers...I put the scale away for a month or so, and ALWAYS make progress!

Unfortunate? WTH, this is great and NORMAL for the first few weeks, You lose water with your fat at first:) Excellent job, keep going just know that it will slow down:) Also, depending on your weight, you can safely lose more than 1-2 lbs. The one negative on MFP is BAD ADVICE:) Keep that in mind on your journey!!!

I love this post, goes hand in hand with what I've been studying about the paleo diet. However some of that is flawed. I want date, scientific date to back up claims of not eating this and that. I agree about the fats, fats are NOT the enemy, that I have learned.

You don't eat at McDonalds to be healthy, the calorie counts have been available for years. McDonalds isn't making people fat, peoples choices do. I personally don't eat there because of the meat contents. However they have been taking the blame for peoples choices for awhile. They do not FORCE you to eat their food...
