  • So I have eaten low carb for a few years now as I lost quite a bit of weight doing this and it has stayed off. However in March, my Father-in-law passed away and I was quite broken hearted. I gained 9 pounds back in two months. I decided to try this military diet out more to get me jump started so I can go back to my…

  • I hear ya! I have lost lots of weight following a low carb plan. My stomach as definitely gotten smaller when I measure around but I still have the bump!!! I am now incorporating walking, squats and crunches 4 times a week. I figure it has to disappear sooner or later
  • I lost 28 pounds in 2013 following IP. since then, I have gained 12 pounds back. I started back last week and I am so excited because I am already down 5.6 pounds. This way of eating works! This is seriously the only thing that has worked for me. I have changed many things in my life since my original weight loss so even…
  • I just started back on low carb. A few years ago I lost lots of weight doing this. I started back yesterday because in the past three years, I have gained between 10-12 pounds. I eat around 20g of carbs a day. I also take multi-vitamins, potassium, omega pills and calcium magnesium. Once you get your body into ketosis, you…
  • First day back on IP after losing weight 3 years ago on it. I am actually only up 12 pounds in the three years but decided I need to get my mind back on track. For the most part, we eat low carb in our house. I like IP but I am hoping I can commit again second round as I think its going to be a bit harder. My first weigh…
  • I was on Ideal protein a few years back and lost 27-28 pounds. I was down to 153 at one time. This last year, I had some really tough times and got up to 174 pounds. I have been back on Ideal Protein for two weeks tomorrow and I have already lost 7 pounds. I forgot how good it felt to eat this way. I'm so glad to see this…
  • Maybe talk to your coach about going into phase three for a couple of weeks. This way you can incorporate a carb (like fruit or an english muffin etc). It will keep your weight maintained and then maybe you will be ready to start phase 1 again. This is what my coach did for me. I was craving cheese so bad. I did two weeks…
  • Your just normal! I started the program Feb of 2014. I initially lost 27 pounds and was thrilled. The I started with small cheats and slowly gained back some. I continue to buy products from my coach and I continue to eat low carb in my daily life however I no longer follow the program completely because I can't commit…
  • Started Phase 1 again as I lost 27 pounds in 2014 on this program. I did well until the months of November and December where I gained some back. It seems slower the second time around but this time I am determined to lose more than round one. My clinic closed during phase 1 so I did pretty good on my own. I actually dont…
  • I lost 27 or 28 pounds on this program in 2014. November and December were bad for me as I was enjoying all the parties etc. I gained 14 pounds back. This week I am back on track with the program again. yippeee
  • I have always been on some kind of a diet because it makes me accountable if I have to go somewhere and weigh in however since doing the Ideal Protein diet, I dont feel that way anymore. Its not because its the best program but its a program that suits my lifestyle. You have to find what works for you. Low carb eating isnt…
  • Dill pickles are my favorite snack, Celery with peanut butter is awesome too! Sometimes I also enjoy a triangle of laughing cow cheese.
  • So I just got notice that my centre closed!!!! So bummed as I am a pound from GOAL! I know I could probably do this on my own but I like some of the products they have. Anyone know where I can order products from in Canada without paying the huge shipping fees?
  • I started IP in February. I am one pound from goal and feel terrific. I have tried other programs in the past and never had success. IP is easy for me to follow and most of the eating habits I have created will continue as I enjoy what I eat. I went from a size 12/13 to a size 8 in 4 months and its amazing how my self…
  • We all have our little break downs. I had a rough week as well. My cheats were little but still affected me big time. I drank water with sodium in it....who knew!!!!! I had some cheese, some not so good salad dressing....silly little things. I have always found this program to be easy however I think because I am so close…
  • Way to go! Thats awesome! It sure feels good eh!
  • I just went shopping last weekend after I realized my clothes look too big! I splurged and bought some really nice Lululemon pants as well as dress pants( for work) and a cute hoodie from PINK. I even found really nice jeans on sale at American Eagle. I love that I finally fit a size 9/10. Its been years!!!! Shopping is…
  • Low impact exercise it okay. You just can't exercise to the point where you are out of breath. If you can exercise and carry on a normal conversation, you are okay. This is what my Coach tells me. I love the Spin bike at my gym and won't give that up! I just go at a slower pace now.
  • I don't think they have brownies at my location. They have boxes of Chocolate Raspberry bars that look good. I havent bought them because I have been sticking with what I really like. Are they good???? Today I bought the cheddar ridges and they are weird. I think I will use them when I make homeade hamburgers. Its what I…
  • Love the premade Vanilla Drinks. I have those every morning driving to work...yummy!. I alos love the lemon and orange wafers. They are my snack after dinner when I have my sweet tooth. I tried the new Chocolate wafers but they taste weird. I have the Broccoli soup at home that I hate. If anyone has a suggestion of what to…
  • Welcome to the program! I wish you great success! I love IP program. I am only 5 pounds from goal which is just crazy to me. I hope this program works well for you. Getting though the first few days is the toughest, after that, its easy!
  • Ideal Protein is the best eating plan that I have ever tried. I started in February and by the beginning of April was down 20 pounds. I went to Cuba for two weeks, plus I was off plan for another two weeks dues to an illness in my family and me being sick. In the 4 weeks I was off plan, I only gained one pound and I am…
  • IP truly works! I started in February and lost 20 pounds by the beginning of April. I feel so good. In fact, I just got back from two weeks in Cuba and was glad to see that I only gained 4 pounds duirng my 14 day vacation. I am back to my normal routine as of today however the hardest part will be getting my body back into…
  • My coach suggested that I dont exercise for the first week on the program so I followed her advice and I was glad because my first week was tough. I have been on the program for 4 weeks and the last three, I have been going to the gym. I love to bike and do the spin class. I also do light weights. I don't work out to the…

  • You need to always have cut up vegetables in the fridge. I literally eat between two to 4 cups of veggies each day. That and water will fill you up. Also, get rid of sugar in your diet completely. The first week is the toughest. After that, your body will thank you. Its Willpower!
  • I started IP on Feb 9th and have lost 12 pounds to date. The first week was the toughest for sure however I lost 5 and half pounds the first week so it kept my incentive up. There are days that I only eat two of my protein packs now simply because I am not hungry. I have been exericising on the program but at keeping it a…
  • I did Jenny Craig years ago and it helped me to lose about 12 pounds in a couple of months. I really got tired of the food and I didnt like my coach. I always felt like I didnt have enough food. I eventually gained the weight back however I didnt finish the program as it got expensive buying food that I didnt enjoy. It…
  • I am not on Atkins however I have been eating low carb for almost three weeks. The first week I was quite hungry but I think my body just had some adjusting to do. I eat eggs or a protein shake(which I don't know if you can have) for breakfast. I eat salad every day for lunch along with veggies and sometimes chicken or…
  • I gave up sugar almost three weeks ago and trust me.....I love my chocolate! The first week, I craved it so bad but I have already overcome that. I work in an office that constantly has donuts, cookies and cake and I havent had a bite but it did take willpower. I can't say how I will be long term but right now I feel so…
