Any fish options? Remember turkey tacos are a good way to keep fat down, and be able to add tomato or avocado. What about soups or stews? They could have the chicken or beef, along with some veg, beans, or rice. It looks like you have some great starting items for main dishes. Consider stir fries which can taste great with…

I've been cubing half an avocado into a cup of brown rice and topping with a 1/4 cp. of Sargento Reduced Fat Mexican Cheese. I'll add some Mrs. Dash or salsa. Sometimes I just slice it with water crackers. Yum!

I'm sorry to hear that. I felt the same way when my doctor put me on a low sodium diet due to high blood pressure. I started looking at labels and was freaked out at how my diet was limited. Sometimes I have to think of it like a game to see how I can get the most with the least. Keep up your spirits. Seeing a nutritionist…

I use, "How long do you have left on this?".

Thanks Guys!

I've had this same frustration. My guy still wants to have his pizza/wing nights, oreos, ben and jerrys. It's hard for me not to want to snack when the temptation is there. He is trying to only do that once in a while, and when I can splash out a bit with my calories too. As for the dinner, he's had to adjust, he gets what…

I like all the reasons you are doing this. You sound like a well rounded healthy person.

Awesome response, thanks everyone!

Hi new Friend! It's hard to find that motivation. However, I've had a lot of support here on MFP. I also started talking about my goals to family and friends. You'll be surprised how many people are going through the same thing and will want to know what you are doing. I also set mini goals with non-food rewards, usually…

Thanks for the support! It's important to keep the steam built up and keep chugging along~

A week for me, and then into the next to see more downward progress. I really did myself a disservice this month by taking 3 cheat days. On those days I ate well until dinner then ate and drank alcohol. I feel like I've been losing the same 3 pounds all month. Last night was the first Friday I haven't taken advantage and…

I will put some almond butter with water crackers. It helps fill me up!

Check out youtube, there are several 10 minute aerobic or Zumba workouts that you can do at home. You can just turn the moniter to go along with it. I've had to mix up the cardio because I get burnt out. Best of luck to you!

I'm trying upping and lowering my calorie goal every day. I was at 1400 today, I'll add a couple hundred tomorrow and drop it back down. I also am mixing up my cardio with some different routines, to shock my system.

Made it through a Zumba class!

Definitely can use a vacation, especially when the weather warms up. I've been dreaming of this B&B in San Clemente that was steps to the water with gorgeous sunsets. I didn't watch what I was eating then, but if I went again now I would. I'm going to visit family in Washington next month and made sure there was a gym…

You could plan for a small snack or drink a bottle of water. That always helps me, because I am the same way. It sucks!

Approximately 3-4 weeks.

Great job on your loss!

I've read some posts where people vary their calorie goals up and down to, like you said, keep the body on it's toes! I like the idea, just wondered if it might help.

Amy's Kitchen has several brands around 350-390 mg. per cup serving. The best I've found so far.

Strength training while losing weight can help this.

I do see people's posts that are not entirely fitness or nutrition related, however, it all speaks to your mindset in relation to the bigger goals of fitness/nutrition. I'd say it's mostly oriented to encouragement and business. I can say that it's a bit like working out with a buddy. Chatting and cutting up enhances the…

Love COD on xbox. Also can't wait for the new Borderlands coming out in Sept.

I don't have to take up space in my tiny house with cardio machines. I can go, use it and leave it there!
-
Awesome suggestion, I've been having trouble finding a lot of the Amy's Light In Sodium line. Where do you find it?

In the dumps? I felt that way while I was sick, just generally disgruntled. I completely knew it was a result of being worn out and ill, but I still felt "in the dumps". I knew it would end when I kickstarted back, so there was an end in sight to it. Sometimes frustrated also applies when life situations come up. Reach out…

I like everyone's NSV mentioned here. Great job everyone!
