I would think 1200 is a bit low. I’d go with 1500 to start. You can always eat less but allow yourself time to adjust.

I rarely come to message boards but dang - I'm trying to find how to make friends to see on my feed. I'd love Wisco girls! I looked through my friends and most have not logged on for ages. I like to hear other updates. Any Wisco peeps want to 'friend' me? Please do!

I am working on maintaining my weight. I worked hard the last 10 years to lose my weight and went through a divorce. It's a constant struggle to not overeat. I crave all the time. I am working on staying active every day. Every. Dang. Day. I will walk. I also attempt to workout every other day. Some days it's such an…

I've recently reached my goal weight too! Congrats to all of us. A year ago, I wouldn't have believed I could get here. I'm by no means lean, but this is a comfy weight for now and no longer shopping in the plus size department. I think we all need to recognize our progress and we can certainly change our goals…

I think the important thing is to regularly use 1 scale (yours at home). I've heard of people testing their scales but putting 5 pound bags of sugar or something heavy to see how accurate it is. As long as the numbers go down....it's all good.

I've just started to think about maintenance. I'm just a couple of months away from my goal. How do you figure out the maintenance calories? I still want to keep tracking using MFP but I'm not sure how to adjust from loss to maintain.

You can add me! 40+ and hoping to lose about 30 pounds to start.

I checked out your diary and you are waaay below your allowed calories. No wonder you are hungry. The people saying eat more are right. Eat more of whatever foods you like - have snacks in between meals.

Feel free to add me! I'm 43 years old, have 2 kids, and started at 208.5 pounds (not my heaviest). I'm almost 200lbs now. I can't wait to hit under 200 which should happen in a week or two or three.

I prefer Kohl's or Fashion Bug. They both have frequent coupons to keep the price low.

I'm a proud soda addict! I have started to drink water with meals only. That was about the only way I could start to suck the stuff down. I admit, I can drink water with meals but I miss soda. On the flip side, it have saved me $ eating out.
