I believe the Armour will suppress the TSH so now the Free T3 and Free T4 are important to get to the mid to high range. Also are you waiting an hour to eat or drink coffee? I also wait 4 hours to take any vitamins. My doctor also prescribed a small dose of Armour for bed time, works for me but maybe not everyone. I also…

I am 5'5" and 57. I try to keep at that 1200 calories. I definitely eat more if I burn extra calories with walking, strength training, etc. I was told by my thyroid doctor that the strength training was more important than my walking or biking. I am on Armour as I could not do the synthetics. Good luck to everyone!

Same here as the weight is easy to put on but so slow to come off. I am 57, soon to take early retirement, 5'4". I want to get to 130 for some cushion but that last 5 pounds is so stubborn. I have sent to a friend request. Anyone else is free to add me. Good health to everyone!

How are you feeling? Some do just fine on the synthetics, others go to the naturals if they can find a doctor to prescribe it. My first goal was to feel better and then work on the weight. My doctor suggested weight lifting and not just cardio. I love to walk and ride my bike but a little strength training seems to help up…

I was given Synthroid originally. Thankfully I found an MD who gave me Armour. We did over shoot once but have settled in with 60 mg in the morning and 15 mg at night. Wait at least one hour before breakfast or coffee after taking your meds. Wait 4 hours to take any vitamins.I have my blood tested in the morning. I take my…

Sorry to say we really have to watch what we eat along with counting calories. Sugar is my enemy, I feel horrible if I over do it. Add some strength training along with cardio. Helps the metabolism greatly. Keep at it and good luck.

Yes, get off the soda. I did flavored water at first and then just water. I still do not drink enough water but at least I kicked the diet cola habit. Good Luck!

I am Hypo and taking Armour. I could not lose any weight. My doctor suggesting not only walking but to add strength training to increase my metabolism. I have to also stay around 1200 calories and feel better if I stay away from sugar. Have you visited Stop the Thyroid Madness site yet? Sorry I don't have your answers.…

Start now with setting mini goals like a 5 lb weight loss, then another 5 lbs, then another. Your main goal won't seem so far away then. This is for you! I accepted that the scale may not go down every week, so be it, I have to live too! But I get right back to it the following week. I have accepted that I will forever be…

Add some strength training at night if you cannot get outside for a walk. This will increase your metabolism too. Squats, planks, abs.....no high cost equipment or gym membership required. Good luck and good health!

Super, healthy, congrats!

Oh yes, I hear you. Always watching what and how much I eat. Sugar is my worst enemy, feel awful when I eat too much of it. I learned that strength training is a must to amp up my metabolism. Keep working hard, you will get there.
