  • I know the problem with sugar addiction. I'm not sure I felt it was real before now. Been doing Keto or trying, and if I have anything I find I want it again. Looking for support. If you also need support and accountability, please add me as a friend. Char
  • Hey there! I just started KETO about 5 days ago, I’m assuming dirty keto because I’ve been having kind of a hard time understanding what I should be looking out for. I’m hoping some of you on here had some success with KETO and we can share recipes, meal plans, daily macros and give each other feedback :) Hi kr00k3dd, I…
  • Detroit, MI area. I have refused chemotherapy and things are spreading. Getting pressure from the doctors do do chemo, but I just don't feel that God is leading me there. Just started the Keto diet, was mostly just doing a healthy diet. Need to avoid feeding cancer cells their sugar. Following with a functional medicine…

  • I am back after some very serious illness. Not wanting to share a lot of info on my problems on line, but looking for support in trying to maintain a healthy diet. Not about how I look these days. Please add me as a friend.
  • Thanks these are some great tips. I will try to be more organized with more variety on the weekend.
  • Thanks, I have been doing the weekend batches, but have been so busy it seems to take up a lot of time. I will try adding the meat rollups to the plan. Sounds good. Do you use lunch meat or do you have other options? I am trying to avoid additives also.
  • Starting back to MFP and Keto diet. Difficult time with Thanksgiving next week and extra dinner on Saturday. Looking for friends. Please add me.
  • I would to have you as a friend. I just started the Keto diet a week ago. It has been amazing. Would love to share.
  • I am new to Keto Diet in the last week. My research shows we need to consume no more than 5% carbs to be in ketosis. I have found that difficult to do, but still loosing weight on more. Ten pounds my first week. Ketostix show I am on my way to Ketosis but not there yet. Brain needs very little glucose. As for lack of…
  • I think I may have done this before, but going to try again. Feb goals: Daily meditation. Finish food diary at least 4 days a week. Started OA last night. Attend at least one meeting a week. Declutter minimum of 15 minutes a day.
  • I am a Christian Catholic. Would love to offer prayer support. Just friend me if you want.
  • Hello. Trying something new which includes the 5:2 fast. I am going grain free for a few weeks. I have had so many health problems, been so tired, I thought I would try this again. Was not successful last year. Good to see it has been working for someone.
  • Add me if you like,
  • Congrats at going to nursing school. School is stressful and so is working as a nurse with all the weird hours, lack of sleep and just doing the job. Now is a good time to learn to manage stress. That will help keep it all in prospective. There is something about nursing, I have never stopped going to school for long and…
  • Hi Suzette, I can totally emphasize with your situation. I was in a car accident 25 years ago and still deal with pain. Keep moving but be careful not to overdue it. I have not necessarily kept up the exercise and I think that is why I am having difficulty with weight loss now. I know if I overdue I pay for it and it ends…
  • Since my weight loss has not been successful, and i have admitted to motivation issues, it must be time to make a change. So I am going to take everyone's lead and set a couple goals for July: 1. Spend at least 15 minutes a day exercising. 2. Log daily
  • I cannot seem to keep any weight off. I refuse to give up, but am definitely have a motivation problem. Am back up---again :(
  • I still have a lifetime membership to WW, but I doubt I will ever go back. I lost my weight a long time ago, and was not able to keep it off. I cannot say I have been any better with MFP, but it does not cost me a fortune, take an evening I don't have or make me feel like I am a major failure. I may have difficulty staying…
  • That is fabulous. Congrats!!!
  • Logging daily is a good start. Also spend a minimum of 30 minutes in purposeful exercise daily.
  • I have been having difficulty staying on track. It's a new year and I am looking forward to some changes. More friends to inspire and support would be a good start. So please feel free to add me. Now I need to go exercise :s
  • I think I have posted on this group before. I have decided to try to be more active in MFP. I am 61, divorced with 1 daughter and 1 granddaughter. Unfortunately they live several states away. I have been frustrated with my lack of success with weight loss. Virtually nothing has worked, although I have managed to keep my…
  • I like this thinking. It has been difficult trying to get back on track and seriously loose weight. So I will just do right now and not worry about tomorrow. Reminds me about something I read about today being a Present, so enjoy.
  • Thanks for starting this. I have a ton of clothes in my closet which fit when I lost some weight a few years ago and before I even got to wear them, I started gaining again. I have been determined to fit in to them again, but so far not successful. Have been determined not to give up. So I think I will start cleaning my…
  • I understand. It really is hard to start working out, and I am still working on ramping up my commitment in that area. I find it hard to fit it in. I agree with putting some variety in the mix. It will be hard at first, but don't give up. Finding something you enjoy will help tremendously. Working out with a friend is a…
  • I like coffee in the morning and, usually add chocolate to it to make a mocha latte. I always like some kind of bread with coffee. So usually toast with almond butter or even some lunch meat. I like eggs for dinner, by the way :)
  • Nay. Studies have shown it can cause neurological damage. I like all my cells intact. I did drink it in the past. Bought one about a year ago, and I am sorry to say it tasted like I would imagine turpentine would taste. Rather go something healthier.
  • Hi just saw you reply. Sounds like you are stretched very thin. How old are you daughters? Not that it matters a lot. They need you no matter how old they are. I have a 92 year old Mom, in a nursing home, but I found I need to be there regularly. She has been there 5 months and while there has had a broken hip and lumbar…

  • I am also 60 years old and having a difficult time losing weight. I have tried a number of different diets over the years and agree with those that say you can stay with the diet over the long term. You want to loose weight on a diet you can follow for the rest of your life or your long term success with be a problem. I…
