1/15 so I have made some progress. I feel really good about this considering the stress I have been under. My mom has been in the hospital. Really frustrating. They see she is 92 yo and has dementia, so no matter what her mental status they blow it off, unless of course her confusion causes problems.

1/22: Well I am trying to be consistent at least. It has been such a trying month. I now have my mom in Sub-acute Rehab and from what I see and hear she is doing a bit better. I find that very hopeful, but somethings have been very hard to deal with, so the stress.

I am SO SO discouraged. My weight fluctuates constantly between 140 and 144. Several days ago, it was down to 139. I recorded it and was thrilled! Then the other day, it was up to 148! 148! How can there be a 9 lb water weight fluctuation? This is a constant battle for me. I never know what I really weigh. Now I KNOW I didn't go from a true 139 to a true 148 lbs in a matter of days....my scale is less than a year old and is digital. And I weigh myself every morning at the same time with no clothes on.

One week left and getting pretty close to the goal. Hoping that in can keep focused on the last few days and then figure out the plan to maintain it.

Don't get too discouraged...I am right there with you. I had a great beginning to the month, and then hit a wall. My diet and exercise routine didn't change, but something else has to have happened. I'm going back to the beginning of the month to see what I was maybe doing a little different to see loss rather than maintain. I know the BIG thing that helped me get jump-started losing again was eating more - I know - sounds weird, but it is so important when you are exercising as part of your routine. I needed to increase my intake by about 500 calories before I started to see the loss on the scale. That's not to say I haven't lost inches and tones some of the "wiggly bits" - because I have! I do weigh daily, first thing in the morning, but I try and just use that for reference. I use how I feel in my clothes as the true test to my progress. I was wearing a really tight size 12 this fall (had to get some new clothes for work because nothing fit!) Now I'm down to fitting into my size 10 jeans - AND being able to wear them comfortably all day. I'm down to my last 10lbs that I want to lose. I have done it before, so I know I can do it again.

Keep it up...when you do get there, you won't be sorry!
