i have never ever ever been a fan of asparagus.... HOWEVER... the one way that i enjoy asparagus is lightly tossed with olive oil and sea salt, and cooked up on the grill.. that little charry taste, yum!

Not sure what state you're in, but here in Cali, Cheesecake factoray has a nutritional info "book" that they drop at the table with their menus... i find that the calorie information in those books does sometimes differ from the info here on MFP's database.. which is why I use the info from the restaurant to log my…

If you love exercising every day and your body can handle it, by all means, be active! i wish i had that same spirit haha.. as for the calories, 1200 a day is just barely what your body needs to survive.. when you exercise and don't eat for the additional calories that you burned, you run the risk of consuming less than…

Feel free to add me and good luck!

i happen to love the undressed skeleton blog.. her story is quite inspirational and she does have lots of awesome recipes... i've been wanting to try these pancakes, not because i'm avoiding carby goodness, but because i have real issues including fruits in my diet haha.. so banana based pancakes might be a good start for…

this. SMH... OP, you're on a site where people are trying to change themselves, find acceptance and other support persons... and instead they come across people like you who want to be judgmental and rude. who gives a crap about shaved legs and pedicures?? worry about your own image, don't knock on people because of theirs.

bumping for later!! i have been on an oatmeal kick and i am also obsessed with smores... this is PERFECT haha

i didn't read through the entire board so i dunno if this is a repeat post, buuuuut.... you know that crock-pot buffalo chicken everyone talks about? i make that and just bake the wrappers on a cookie sheet and top them with the chicken and a little drizzle of ranch... so yum! also, i make this recipe from skinny taste…

drink warm liquids like tea... hot liquids will help get things moving in the right direction haha... do you notice that this happens regularly or is it just after you eat certain things?

thanks for your input! i actually just ate a yogurt and some pretzels to get up to the 1200 mark... i agree though i have alternated my calorie intake in the past and it definitely helped with my plateau.

yep... i am also tired of being squishy lol... annnnd i exercise for the same reason that i started counting calories and getting serious about weight loss... i am in nursing school and not only has it inspired me to become healthier for my own sake, but i mean as a nurse, i want to be able to practice what i preach to…

i lovelovelove how everyone always fights over carbs.... for some people, cutting carbs helps them get the results they want faster... for some, it's health related (i too have PCOS and a hard time losing weight if i pig out on carbs)... for some people if just doesn't make a difference... eat carbs. carbs are necessary…

if you don't eat carbs, your body WILL start to metabolize fats faster than normal... buuuuut you run the risk of developing ketoacidosis which can be fatal.... your body NEEDS carbs, just stick to your calorie counting and try eating more whole grain (which also helps burn fat)

muscle tissue holds on to water in order to "heal"... when your muscles are rebuilding your body will tend to retain water

i started tracking calories and working out more regularly just about a week and a half ago... and so far i have lost close to 5 pounds... i love MFP, it makes tracking meals so easy and i feel like it's so easy to commit to. plus, there are so many other supportive users and i love checking out the forums for tips,…

when i am able to, i take the time to cook a good meal... but for the most part i'm in the need for quick fixes. My favorite quick fix chicken recipe is to just marinate boneless/skinless chicken breasts in Lawry's Mesquite Lime marinade and cook em on the stove-top. I make whole pieces, cut up pieces for chicken tacos,…
