  • Hi there, Just seen this and realised nobody has replied :( I ran a 5K Race for Life last year and just done on last night! I will also be running the Portsmouth 10K in July. I mix 5k Runs, Spinning classes, bootcamp class during the week days and then a long Saturday run (up to 18k). My diet for a few days before the race…
  • Bump :) I love the Ainsley Harriott Aromatic Thai Couscous sachet that serves 2 and I usually make it with a salmon fillet which I cook in foil for 14 minutes in a 180 degree fan oven and a salad of green leaves or asparagus! Yum...
  • I also run outdoors and live in the countryside so it can be very quiet when I go off on small roads etc... I would simply say to run when it's light, make sure you wear clothing that's visible and always look around when you are running to keep an eye on your surroundings. There is nothing better than running outdoors and…
  • Will very happilly help you and motivate you Hun... Feel free to add me too :)
  • Thanks for the advice. It's good to read other runner's experiences. I jst reached 15Kms this weekend and have now signed up for a 1/2 Marathon which I am very excited about. I'm guilty of the not warming up beofre I go off on a run as I am too eager to go but have learned from my mistake for not stretching after a long…
  • That's brilliant. Well done. It's such a fabulous feeling when you improve your PB. This is one of many more to come :) Well done...
  • Feel free to add me.... : )
  • Hi there.... It's so nice to read so many great comments for other runners! I am doing a 5K in June and a 10K in July for Cancer Research, then a 1/2 Marathon in early October and the Great South Run at the end of October which is a 10 miles... I have got the running bug and can't wait to go running whenever I can. I try…
  • Hi there.... I'm in Hampshire and pleased feel free to add me. Good Luck on your journey :) x
  • I normally go to the gym between 3/4 times a week, a long outdoor run at the weekend and Zumba another night. I like to alternate the type of exercise I do. :)
  • That's brilliant!!!! So satisfying getting to beat your PB's.... Once you have done it once, you'll do it every week after that.... Well done and enjoy! :)
  • I have a beautiful baby at home too, she is a 8 year old black lab and we are lucky that the vet we use is fabulous. She saved her life when she suffered from a burst uterus a couple of years ago that could have simply killed her if he hadn't been quick enough to operate. I seriously use another opinion and not wait a…
  • Yay!!! Well done. That's a brilliant loss and your determination is great. Keep up the great work, you are obviously doing it right :)
  • Stunning pictures and the best day for it :) Well done... I love running when it's cold as I feel more at ease than when it's hot in the summer! I did a 13K on Saturday when it was -7° and icy and then a 5K yesterday in the snowy woods and loved every minutes of it. I live down in Hampshire. My thighs are sore today as I…
  • Well done you!!!! That's great and I'm pleased for you that you have started so well. You seem to have a good idea of what you have to do so good luck. Feel free to befriend me for support! :)
  • I'm 5.2" and currently weigh 125lbs after losing 44lbs. I am just short of my target weight which is 120lbs. If I lose a little more about that, it'll be purely from the exercise I do as I am fairly active. I am a small upper frame but a large back side so getting slimmer in the area will be fabulous. Good Luck to us all…
  • Hi there and welcome to MFP!! Good Luck with your new journey Darling, you can do this... :) I have some great friends on here and without their support, I wouldn't be doing so well. Feel free to send me a request :) xxx
  • Well done you for achieving a half marathon in only 4 months traning. Wow, it shows your determination. You will do this again no problem I reckon. I hope you are better now too. I got into running because I was told it was a great way to lose weight. I could only run under 1k at first and now hovering around the 12K mark.…

  • Hi there!!! :) I'm from Hampshire... Feel free to add me. x
  • I run a lot and I usually find that a banana, nuts, babybel light or rasperries are easy to pick at work and give me the right amount of energy. I personally try not to eat any snack bars as once I eat one, I want the whole box :)
  • I also got it for Xmas and have done it about 6 times now. The calorie count is more of less spot on (I wear an HRM whilst doing it). I get pains afterwards in muscles that I don't obviously use a lot in other classes so it's a brilliant workout. I sweat as much as doing classes at the gym so don't think that because it's…
  • Welcome back :) Feel free to add me x

  • The Wii Zumba is really great and I use it weekly. Combined with other workouts during the week, I find that it works fab. I often go to bed aching in areas I don't normall ache when I have done it so it defo works! Don't throw is... :)
  • Yes, I do indeed. I shiver so much more too... The fat seems to have some warm effect on our bodies... lol... I am however quite happy being colder and slimmer :)
