  • Just drink Low-cal....i.e. light beer or alcohol with calorie free mixer like tonic or club soda...and don't binge!!! A slice of lemon or lime can dress up just as much as the high calorie fruit juice...oh and skip the greasy food the next day (or that night) . it is all about moderation!
  • 3-4 weeks is not very long to base it off of. It can take months for your body to catch up with your mindset, also, I looked through about a week and only saw food logged for one day. consistency is key. log everyday, don't under eat or overeat and good things will come.
  • I have cellulite, and honestly........ I don't know. I know that slow, steady loss through a very small defect, and lots and lots of strength exercise (more strength, less cardio) aids in lessening the appearance. Last year I was down below my goal, unfortunately it was due to sad family circumstances I was undereating and…
  • My first thought isn't jealousy- it's honesty. I know everyone has a different take on things, and everyone has a perfect potion for body fat/height/fitness level maybe she was trying to nicely mention that you look a little thin and maybe she is worried that you might not be in the best mind frame......... some people get…
  • Are you people KIDDING me!!!?! This person is wondering how to politely decline cake, and all of a sudden she has a disorder? Come on people.... :noway:
  • Crossfit rocks! Had to say that-- and I think gyms are expensive, which is why I started crossfit...... I do it at home. Started with just body weight exercises, heavy objects, and using curbs and benches outside to jump on or over. Piece by piece when I could afford it I would grab a kettle bell or a jump rope. You don't…
  • Everyone loses and gains weight differently. That is about it. One thing I HAVE TO say, is that I truly believe the faster the weight comes off, the faster it goes back on.... 30lbs is a huge accomplishment, so relish the feeling, and help her celebrate her loss as well, but don't compare! It will never end well. This is…
  • Stick to it!!! I think the last 10 are hard because we have seen the 1st 20 go quicker, so when the pace slows we get edgy! Your calories are pretty low, I have heard A LOT of people say that a gradual increase toward maintenance calories has helped them off the plateau of the last 10. Maybe add in 100 calories everyday…
  • I thought 'gardening' was a cardio code word for sex....lol maybe I am making that up.......
  • I am trying not to pig out this weekend (for once haha) because last Saturday my husband and I baked the BEST brownies with a batch of chocolate chip cookie dough batter dropped into the brownie batter. They were these amazing cookie/brownie swirls.... and we ate the whole pan. The whole freaking pan! After dinner. We get…
  • The only thing you are doing wrong is expecting to lose weight too quick. If it 'melts away' any faster than for 10 lbs in 4 months, #1 excess skin WILL become a problem #2 It will end up piling back on just a fast. Slow your roll, and if you really want to lose weight the healthy way, keep exercising, keep eating healthy,…
  • Insanity isn't a magic pot of anything that makes weight come off-- rather just really high intensity workouts that use body weight to target most major zones fairly quickly, partnered with a moderate-low cal clean diet. If you just do the workouts, and eat good calories, you will see results. I have completed insanity and…
  • HIIT won't make you lose weight overnight, but in my opinion it is the best workout there is. Experiment, but try the HIIT for a month, then assess your results.
  • When used in food products, carrageenan has the EU additive E-number E407 or E407a when present as "processed eucheuma seaweed". Carrageenan is mainly composed of dietary fibre, which balances the nutrition better.[7] Technically Carrageenan is considered a Dietary Fibre.[8]
  • She's a woman!!!! I think you really need to think about THINKING LESS!!! Keep complimenting her, and spilling your love onto her. She is 22 for crying out loud!!! Who doesn't have issues at that point?!?! WOW. I think I act a lot like your wife, but at 28 am putting the pieces of 'life' together, and if my husband acted…
  • This is dumb lol I just scrolled through 4 pages and not one 'not' REALLY?!
  • Nothing will be exact, EVER, but your closest estimation of an actual burn should be coming from the device that you put your stats into, and that is measuring your heart rate. Go with the polar reading.
  • I did Insanity Asylum all the way through, then the original Insanity twice, toned up like no other, but didn't lose an lb b/c I ate so much!!! I recommend 1800-2000 each and everyday if you stick to the workout sched. that came with it!! Don't let yourself free feed because the workouts are CRAZY and can work up a huge…
  • I don't know the name of it, but that Nike thing.....it looks like a black bracelet with LED lights in it...
  • If you get bored easily, I do mot think you should spend any $ on equipment. I'd recommend youtube for all kinds of different videos!! Search bodyrock-- I know they put out TOMS of videos that are REALLY intense- and I don't have a single piece of equipment I use with them.
  • I would 100% say to set it at sedentary. With a desk job (like I have as well) no matter how much running in place I squeeze in It is still not as much as say a waitress at a busy cafe or a coach or something. Set it at sedentary, then if you exercise, eat the workout calories back :)
  • If you like videos, but your body is used to the vids you have, try looking through videos at bodyrock.tv or serch bodyrock on you tube. There are daily videos that STILL get my HR through the roof!
  • Maybe you should look into setting your macros differently......just a though. What MFP had me at automatically was no good for me. I had to up the protein and really reduce carbs, but I find it easy to stay within what I changed them to.
  • Anything you have veggie or fruit. Seriously- ANYTHING. Throw in an apple and a bunch of spinach and it will taste good and be green !
  • NOOOOOOOO go to youtube and watch them freeeee!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06PZkDMrm-o
  • For me, pre-logging is AWESOME!! I know some people hate it, but it works best for me
  • Everyone will have diff advice. Everyone is different. The key to finding what works for you is to stick with any given plan for at least a few months before changing it up. You have to figure what works for you!!
  • Boneless Rib-eye (8 ounces!!) topped with sauteed onion and mushroom, 1 cup spaghetti squash tossed in 1 tbs. olive oil and salt and pepper, and grilled asparagus, Yum yum I have been looking forward to this meal for DAYS. Lo carb as a bonus
  • Haha no I think the point is that a random new mom in a waiting rooms health has nothing to do with the OP Oh and edit after reading everyone elses hate posts--- OP is spot on!! Eating for two isn't just a myth it is unhealthy for mom and baby!! Soooo many women do it- hell I was 8 weeks prego and stopping for ice cream…
  • Downward dog, warrior one would be (in my humble opinion) classified as yoga. It is tough to gauge exactly how many calories you burn if you don't have a heart rate monitor, because everyone burns a diff amount of them.... heck in a year I went from burning 390 calories doing Insanity Speed and Agility to only about 215!!…
