I had the same question and was assured that as long I was keeping in my calorie and carb range I would be fine, but I do like to keep an eye on it.

I have 3 Chihuahuas and I can always use new MFP friends! I'm on a quest to lose 30lbs, I'm 51. I've lost 12 so far and it's been slow, but I'm hoping that slow and steady really do win the race. Friend me if you like.

Vegetarian for 36 years, of course a lot of what I eat is VEGAN, but I don't limit if I like something with dairy or eggs. :flowerforyou:

I won't weigh myself. I will eat, I'll try to keep things in control and my portions small, but I'm only human. I'll wait a week, and when I'm back on track start weighing myself again.

I can't help with the chia seeds, but I love Nutritional Yeast, I'm not sure what brand you bought, but I love it on popcorn, on buttered toast, over rice...it's a savory flavor, and should be used with savory foods.

I'm on board with the calories in, calories burned thing, but is it also wise to keep an eye on your "calories from fat"? or does it matter?

I have the same problem. Yes, I sometimes have a sweet (very little) but it's very hard even on days that I don't to stay anywhere near the number they give me. I saw a reply that this isn't important unless you're diabetic, I'm not so maybe my efforts to stay close are enough?

I'm 51 and working on the same goal. I play ice hockey so my legs and arms are toned and strong, but the belly fat really had me struggling to come up with a solution. I'm with you, I've only lost 6lbs to date, but already I'm feeling the difference and buttoning my pants with glee! I've cut out a lot of fat, but struggle…

It has REALLY helped me. The connections are great, and to me the most helpful thing it has done is to help me see what I'm truly eating. I had tried to keep track before but the fact that it's all calculated for me is crucial. Try it out! I think it's great: 6lbs lost.

I would suggest get your mind off it! Go for a walk, DON"T BRING FOOD! You can do this, and of course some days are better than others.
