  • Hello! I'm 40, 5'6 1/2", and about 170. I would be overjoyed to work my way to 140 pounds. A short term goal at the moment is 155. I'm an RN, no children, and in a relationship with a fantastic man.
  • Hi Gemma, feel free to add me. I also agree with logging everything. My cups of coffee add up some days, especially if I add milk instead of taking it with only Splenda. It's a wake up call for sure! I'm horrible with exercise however use a FitBit pedometer which encourages me to take extra steps. Great to meet you!

  • When I was neck-deep in bulimia several years ago, my worst binges would consist of a bag of powdered mini-donuts, 2-3 of those little microwaveable pizzas, a big bag of Ruffles potato chips with whatever dip I happened to grab, a container of ice cream, pan of brownies, and a big bag of that generic chocolate rice krispie…
  • I like to chop up a bunch of produce at the beginning of the week so I can just throw together a container of salads or fruits. I also like to make huge crockpots of food, and then freeze small portions. Vegetarian/vegan chili is a favorite, and tofu tikka masala is yummy (although takes a couple of hours to prepare).…
  • I'm turning 40 next month and have been having difficulty losing weight. When I was younger, the pounds would fall off if I even thought about it. Now, I really have to work for that one pound. I'm 5'6 1/2" and currently around 177.. Please feel free to add me. :)
  • Congrats! I refuse to hop on the scale until next month. Stress for me leads to holding onto the weight. Please feel free to add me for support, though, I log in every day! :)
  • Hi Andrea! Welcome :) We all have choices in everything we do. Sometimes we make good ones, sometimes we don't. Please feel free to add me for support :)
  • You can do it! Please feel free to add me. :)
  • Hi Isys (great name!), GOOD FOR YOU for day one of quitting smoking! I know it's hard, I've been down that path. I'll add you if that's okay, and look forward to watching you on your journey. :)
  • Hello! Please add me if you like. I've been successful at logging in for two weeks. :)
  • Hello, all! Welcome to you. Please feel free to add me. I have been inconsistent myself, but really want it to work this time. Meaning, I have to be diligent. Great to meet you!
  • Good luck! You CAN do it! Please feel free to add me.

  • I don't do much of this anymore, but it was always delicious... Those cheap frozen burritos with applesauce instead of sour cream. Dipping fries into chocolate milkshakes. Strawberry jelly on grilled cheese sandwiches. White, soft bread with butter and hot cocoa powder.
  • I love this thread... I can't get frozen cooked spinach down without auto-vomit kicking in. I love raw spinach and when I cook it myself, but the prefrozen stuff makes me gag. Okra elicits the same response. And canned asparagus. I love fresh asparagus. Onions are okay if they've been cooked beyond recognition, but raw…
  • Hi Jamie, it's the worst feeling to have to squeeze into pants! Please feel free to add me - I'm on the same path as you are. Losing weight would be great but I need to have my health back. Great to meet you!

  • Hi Jani. Divorce is hard, I've been there and understand how it feels to be in abusive relationships. I'm so proud of you for getting out, and for starting your journey to health. Please feel free to add me. I try to log on daily, and my food diary is open. :) Welcome.
  • Welcome aboard. :)
  • Hi Alyssa, well done for starting your journey. :) Please feel free to add me. I turn 40 next month but I think health is all we need to have in common. I look forward to getting to know you as we march along this path.
  • First of all, big hugs to you. As an oncology nurse, I suggest high-nutrient foods. I don't know what your path will bring you as far as chemotherapy or radiation or other treatments, but there are special ways to approach each as that time comes. Your oncologist and physician team will definitely have more ideas for you.…
  • Hi Beth, great to meet you. I'm turning 40 next month and don't have children, but I do work full time and go to school full time. Hopefully the 40 pounds I want to drop will go away with hard work and support. Please feel free to add me, too. :)
  • I turn 40 next month. Losing weight is getting MUCH harder at this age! Feel free to add me, too. I have about 40 to lose. Hmmm... losing 40 at 40. lol
  • Hi! I'm a veggie. :) I have been vegan, raw vegan, vegetarian, etc. in the past, and now am lacto-ovo-vegetarian transitioning off of milk products. Cheese is a hard one for me. :) Please feel free to add me! I try to log in every day. Many of my meals involve the Nutribullet... banana smoothies are a new favorite.
  • Hi Pamu. You've already completed your first step, congratulations! Follow up with logging every single thing you eat, no matter what it is. Sometimes that is enough to make you realize what is happening. Start being more active, maybe a walk once or twice a day if weather permits. :) Feel free to add me if you like, I try…
