  • Because they'll be more for ME!!!
  • Personal responsibility and self-control IS the issue...and right now, many parents don't teach it and hold kids accountable, schools can't or won't push it and so our society crumbles passing it off the the gov't to regulate.
  • Been there, done that…that's why I signed on MFP. Two years ago I gained back in 6-7 weeks what had taken me 5 months to lose. Now that I pay attention and have created new habits using MFP, I don't find myself waking up and saying, "What the heck?" because I'm well aware of my body, what goes in and exercise needs. When I…
  • - He's lied about something that isn't a big deal, what's to stop him from lying about bigger, important things? - He doesn't desire some of the same things you desire and think are important. TWO QUESTIONS: 1) Is that who you want to build a life and life-long marriage with? 2) You're young, not married & do not have…
  • I have a dry spaghetti measure. Bed, Bath & Beyond have them…Tupperware used to sell a plastic piece that had holes in it like the diagram someone posted. My spag. measure has a sliding piece that allows me to enlarge or shrink the measuring space based on portion size. No I don't have a scale or make cooked measurements…
  • What you're feeling is normal…you're working hard and they're not. It doesn't seem fair BUT you will have better and healthier results in the long run so keep your eye on the prize!!! I know people around here who had the surgery, and as others have said, they've ballooned back to their pre surgery weight because they…
  • Sad...mean people suck! Remember, and remind yourself WHY you're doing what you're doing...FOR YOU. You're doing it for YOU, not them! Therefore, it's not a competition because there will always be someone YOU believe is more attractive...do it for you so you can love yourself and forget the rest when the temptation comes…
  • Dynamic before…static after
  • Some noticed at 15 but more noticed at 25 lbs. I will add though that by then I was starting to tuck in some of my shirts and I was starting to wear some new clothes because of a shrinking waist and shirt size.
  • While it still can be difficult sometimes, I'll say it got easier when I started seeing some results, both on the scale and some non-scale ones too (like fitting better into clothes, fitting INTO old clothes or a smaller size, not having back & knee pain after exercise, and being able to do exercises I haven't been able to…
  • Get into a regiment/schedule of drinking water so it becomes habitual and done without thinking. - Many recommend when you first get up to help your organs start to function...I drink 16oz before leaving the house in the AM. - Drink a glass before eating a meal. (helps as an appetite suppressant) - Drink more during meals.…
  • Not a chance without the first couple details...let alone with them.
  • YES...and it is DELICIOUS!!!
  • Besides start packing, you'll save money and calories!!!! All those place have healthy menu options BUT you have to choose them AND portion control is another issue that you have to watch. Just because it is a salad, doesn't mean it's healthy...got to watch what's on it and how much is there to eat.
  • If I know I've got a special event/meal coming, then I pay a little more attention to what I'm doing leading up to and/or after the event. If at all possible, I also try to make sure I've got a good calorie burn that day (before or after). Also, if there's a choice, I prefer the special meal to be earlier in the day vs…
  • I definitely love this and they are a good choice for taste, cals and for a meal, good on the salt content usually between 300-500mg. I stock up when they're on sale and they're cheaper AND healthier than me getting 2 crunchy fresco tacos at Taco Bell with A LOT less sodium.
  • Yes, quite a few times. - report drunk & SERIOUS reckless driving - accidents - domestic dispute across the street - major road safety issues which could cause an accident I actually know a couple of the county operators and recognized their voice when they answered.
  • Thanks but I'll just take my canned tuna, with a slice of cheese, some honey mustard and bread...simple and satisfying.
  • Physical Touch and words of affirmation have always been my top two and the test showed it again...gifts is DEFINITELY NOT in my gift mix but I know one of my son's is DEFINITELY that!
  • Officiating two HS soccer games tonight.
  • I think you're showing a total lack of respect for your marriage by doing something behind his back ESPECIALLY when you know he wouldn't like it. To me, a marriage is about two people serving and submitting to one another, especially when it comes to strong feelings about something permanent. Yes, it's your body and you…
  • Well said. It seems you both have stuff to work through and maybe both of you need to discover and learn to speak each other's love languages (Chapman) because it's apparent that you have some needs that he needs to address to help. If need be, find a Christian counselor just to help acquire some communication skills to…
  • Keep focused on doing the right things and eventually you will reap what you so. I remember several years ago when I started going through a divorce after making some discoveries about my now ex. I worked out hard 6-7 days a week and only lost 3 pounds in 6-8 weeks time. (I wasn't overeating or doing anything unusual.)…
  • I'm an Apple lover...big screen? No thanks. I want it in my pocket and don't want to break it or be uncomfortable and I was told by my kids and others if I get a belt clip, I'm a geek and nerd. The iPhone 5 is LTE/4G where as the other iPhones mentioned are not and are older technology. If you're not happy with your…
  • Read the book BOUNDARIES by Henry Cloud and Townsend and start applying them to your life and interactions with her. Be prepared for a strong reaction because people who don't have boundaries and then are given boundaries and consequences for their behavior will howl even more about how you are mistreating them. In the…
  • I don't cheat, I just have days where I went over...like today, about 700 over. I probably have one day a week where I'm 500-700 over my daily goal which is about break even for the day. No big deal as long I don't do it again...and again...and again..and again...etc. :-)
  • I do the auto-calc and it reduces my calories after I've lost 7-10 lbs. because I don't need as much to maintain that weight. Therefore, if you want to maintain the same weightloss goals, your calorie intake will need to be adjusted for the loss.
  • Some of mine are not as tight.
  • Besides the foam roller (which is a little easier size-wise), one can also roll around on a tennis ball on a firm floor. It also works great for the deep piriformis (think deep muscles behind the glutes).
