  • Hi! My first week went well. I'm down 3 lbs. (I'm guessing it's mostly water weight). My fasting days were pretty easy. I was hungry at times, but I got through it. However, I did overeat on my non-fasting days. I wasn't prepared w/ decent food to eat. I will get a plan together to eat lowish carb on most non-fasting days.…
  • My first fast day was a success! Thanks for asking. :) Today was a nonfast day. I just finished dinner and I'm done with my 2000 calories for today. It included healthy choices and not so healthy choices. I feel guilty though... Is it ok to eat whatever I want on nonfast days if I stay within 2000 calories?
  • Hello, New here! Today is my first fast day. I've been doing Keto since January 1st. I've lost and gained 20 lbs during that time span. I'm 40 w/ PCOS. I've been dieting since I was 10 years old. I'm hoping the 5:2 diet is something that finally works for me! :)
  • Join in whenever, Knit! :) Not gonna lie, it's pretty challenging. I'm not giving up my $40.00 though!! Lol
  • Added you! Anyone else can add me too: jenny@baillis.com
  • Thanks for your input everyone. I definitely feel like crap from all the carbs. Stress probably is a really big factor in my binge. I also know I've been craving something sweet and I'm just not finding what will satisfy that. I don't want to make anything with low carb pie crusts or sugar free jello, and I absolutely hate…
  • I started keto about 4 weeks ago. I have PCOS with IR and it makes dieting extremely frustrating to say the least. It's been a struggle since I was a child. I would love to make some new friends for support. I'm also using IG for support under the name busted_biscuit
  • I do Fage 2% with one of those snack containers of diced fruit in 100% juice (usually diced apples), cinnamon, and a sprinkle of Bare Naked Fit Granola.
  • These little mini crustless quiches sound great. They are already portioned out for everyone too! (1.3g of carbs per serving) http://www.thekitchn.com/makeahead-recipe-crustless-min-125509
  • Loving all the great ideas! BUMP!
  • I was on Yaz and it worked well, and I didn't have any complaints besides forgetting to take it sometimes. My doctor thought it was keeping my triglycerides high and suggested switching to Mirena would be a good idea. She said it carries less vascular risk as well. I got it about a year ago. I gained a little weight…
  • I really like the idea of using hominy to make O'Brien "Potatoes"! I'm going to have to try that out.
  • Call me crazy, but I'm going to side with whatever the heart docs say. :ohwell: Here's some healthy heart diet info from Cleveland Clinic (rated #1 in the nation by US News & World Report) http://my.clevelandclinic.org/heart/prevention/nutrition/healthy-diet/default.aspx I personally feel that the Mediterranean style diet…
  • I did a Yoga video with my 3 year old twins. They LOVED it!
  • Marcona almonds are so delicious (or any kind of nuts). Hummus or any other bean dips with veggies are a good savory snack too. You could get creative with popcorn too!
  • Fish works great in foil packets on the grill or oven. Your sides can cook right with it in the packet. Here's a few I found: http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/tilapia_summer_vegetable_packets.html http://www.skinnytaste.com/2013/06/easy-grilled-fish-fillet-in-foil-packets.html…
  • I take 100mg Spironolactone a day. I have labs done every so often to see if I'm having any potassium issues. I've been taking it for about 6 months now. I really haven't had much side effects other than peeing more. My voice has not changed a bit. I have noticed that my hair loss on my head has stopped dramatically and…
  • I have been battling my hair issues (lip, cheeks, chin, and neck) since puberty. I have to agree with the rest of you that it TOTALLY sucks. I started with electrolysis for a few years in my teens. It was really painful. At one point the the lady who owned the business had her husband (a dentist) put me under so they could…
  • Absolutely! The more the merrier!!
  • Hi! My name is Jenny. I have g/g fraternal twins who will be 3 in February. They are a handful these days, but they are super cute! I want to do this so I can be healthier and more active with my family. I have PCOS. I'm not sure if being overweight as a child caused my PCOS..but I have strong feelings that it…
  • I was working out and dieting when I got pregnant. I was also on my 2nd round of Clomid. I ended up with TWINS! :) I also used Fertilityfriend.com and charted on there. I think it really helped with the timing of everything. Just try to relax. I definitely understand how exciting, stressful, and frustrating it all can be…
  • I had endometrial hyperplasia. Those biopsies are not fun at all!!! I was able to resolve mine with progesterone and then birth control pills to regulate my period. I don't have any experience with D&C, but my friend said it wasn't that bad when she had hers done. ~Hope that helps a little.

  • Thanks for the advice on Vaniqa. I tried it for a few weeks and saw no results. I quit using it. I guess I needed to stick with it longer. I'm going to try it again! (I did extensive electrolysis in highschool, and 2 separate tries at laser with no great results. I still shave daily) It is the WORST!
  • It happened to me a few weeks ago at a funeral..very loudly in front of a large group of people. I almost asked our Dearly Departed to move over. :ohwell: (he would have found the humor in that, and that's the only thing that made me feel better about it). She brought it up AGAIN later in front of people and apologized.…
