Tropic thunder, although whether it was actually bad or not is debatable.

It's a bad movie that so many including myself love. I quote that movie so much. My wife doesn't understand why I have to watch it every time it is on.

Has to be one that I bet hardly anyone here has ever heard of, let alone seen.

    'The Pirate Movie'.
LOL...I've seen it. Christy McNichol is in it..can't remember the guy's name. It was an adaptation of Pirates of Penzance...doesn't it feature a light saber in lieu of swordfight scene?

It is my official "I'm having a bad day and need a boost" movie.
"BRRRRRR! I think it's cold in here...must be some Toros in the AT-MO-SPHERE...."

Realized it hadn't been mentioned yet...Troop Beverly Hills.

8% of critics liked it, but I think it's awesome.

I love this movie! I went through a period growing up where I would watch it every day. And I saw it not that long ago and it is still funny. 8% is a little low though.

The other "bad" movie I like is Rat Race (44%). It's really underrated.

The Three Amigos and Tropic Thunder are awesome!!

Mine is Xanadu--see ticker below. Michael Beck said that Warriors (another great movie) opened doors that Xanadu then closed. It's a shame because I love Xanadu and everything about it - the actors (had a crush on Beck and still do), the music, the outfits (yes, the 80's clothes and hair that everyone else is embarrassed of), and the fact that it has mythology loosely sprinkled in is just the icing on the cake.

Funny, when I step back and think about it, I don't think I would like the movie as much if I had seen it as an adult. I fell in love with it as a child. My parents had to rent it every time they went to the video store, and I mean EVERY TIME. They finally realized that it would be cheaper to buy the VHS. That Christmas, I received 2 copies lol

"Can't Buy Me Love" with Patrick Dempsey. Really thought all the actors in that move would've had great careers, especially the girl who played Cindy Mancini.

Pulp Fiction. My sister watched it first in London and called me up to go and watch it NOW. I headed for the theater to watch it, returned dissapointed and furious. Maybe I was young, coz I do find it funny NOW, just not then. It's my BAD good bad, but oh so GOOOOD movie.
Clearly your sister has better taste than you. It's one of the highest rated movies on most sites and had 7 Oscar nominations and won best writing/screenplay.

For my list: anything Will Ferrell is in. I can't stand the guy, but it's like a train wreck.

God, how I love "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure".

("Strange things are afoot at the Circle K.")

Also "Son-in-Law"...I have no idea why I love that movie so much.

Thanks for clarifying for some folks what is a bad movie and what is a well accepted one. Ha. I think people misunderstand the concept. Glad you are on the team!!! I mean, PULP FICTION? Yeesh!
