    Con-Air....cheesy but I love it

I'm so with you. Did Cage do the WORST southern accent ever, or what? Still love it.

It was in my original thread because I quoted Real Genius like I quoted Buffy in high school. Not because it was bad.

Real Genius may possibly be my favorite movie.

If you haven't seen it, you may rue the day.

I know, I know. Who talks like that?

That and real genius. But Real Genius is a fabulous movie and everyone should watch it.

    I love Real Genius.

    I know!

That's a wonderful story, Bodie. I noticed you've stopped stuttering.
I've been giving myself shock treatments
    Up the voltage.

I have never met a single person who has seen that movie and didn't love it. So, I'm thinking you can't call it "bad."

the definition should be "cheesy" rather than bad.
I don't know. I don't even find it cheesy. It's just funny. Cheesy, to me, is a movie that is supposed to be taken seriously but you just can't because it's awful. Or a movie like Porky's. Real Genius is just funny.

And it scores high with critics AND audiences.

Was it really that bad? Or was it just the weird Alabama accent attempt? And the overused Trisha Yearwood and. . ok it was that bad. I'm going to watch it later :D

    The Last Dragon
Barry Gordie + Vanity + Karate = BEST BAD MOVIE EVER!!!

    Also:
Howard the Duck (didn't realize it was considered horrible until I was about 24)
Allan Quartermain and the Lost City of Gold (now on Netflix!)
    Overboard
Demolition Man (idk if this meets the criteria but I'm the only person I know that likes it)
Earth Girls are Easy (again, thought this was a great movie until I realized that I was the only one who thought so)
    Teen Witch (Top That!!!)

It's been sooo many years, but I still can't get the image of 'duck boobs' out of my mind.

I'm pretty sure my mom thought it was a kid's movie (Live action talking duck! Let's rent it for the kids and let them watch it with no adult supervision!) and I didn't get it either until I got older and realize that it was an adult comic. The whole movie made so much more sense after that.

    Toxic Avenger - class!

I recently rediscovered the police academy movies - they now make me laugh so much I almost hate myself.

I know it was reviled by critics and had virtually NO fan base, but I am mental for GREASE 2! I cannot help but sing along to the awful but brilliantly cheesy lyrics to key songs such as C-O-O-L Rider. Don't judge me. (sigh)

Pulp Fiction. My sister watched it first in London and called me up to go and watch it NOW. I headed for the theater to watch it, returned dissapointed and furious. Maybe I was young, coz I do find it funny NOW, just not then. It's my BAD good bad, but oh so GOOOOD movie.
  • Has to be one that I bet hardly anyone here has ever heard of, let alone seen.

    'The Pirate Movie'.

    I adore The Pirate Movie.

I have 2, both I found while up late at night many, many years ago flipping through the channels

#2 All time Bad Movie: Gargoyles (1972) - An anthropologist/paleontologist and his daughter, while travelling through the southwestern US, stumble upon a colony of living, breathing gargoyles who in the end only want to be left alone.

#1 All time Bad movie: Night of The Lepus (1972) - essentially - Giant Killer Rabbits attack town. Special effects were soft white bunnies filmed behind a plate glass you could see in the shots.....

Honorable Mention - My Dinner With Andre - I kept waiting for something to happen. I was too young to appreciate an Indy film
