Hi body zen and 801010, good to see a couple of people on here who do 801010. I read about it over a year ago now and although don't follow it fully I do try to eat a lot of raw. I am a teacher on school holidays so at the mo am having 2 of my meals as fruit smoothies and am snacking on fruit most the time. I do loads of…

It's not a fad diet and it's not a low calorie diet but more a lifestyle diet like vegetarian/ vegan/ wheat free.... The website '30bananasaday' is for people following the 80/10/10 diet which is high carb raw vegan (80 is the %carbs). If you look on amazon there is a book on 801010 diet which is very good. It explans a…

Can't help on measuring but tescos do some good cheap sports bras so you could try a few different sizes and havnt wasted too much money if they don't offer enough support

There is a book about the diet think it is on a amazon Also have a look at a website called 30bananasaday which is for people who follow that diet I would love to beable to do that. The book is v good and will explain why a…

I do similar milage and gym work. Probably a bit more. I eat around 2000 cal a day and have lost weight on that I don't really take notice of my net calories but I do have a deficit
-
My friend once tried some that had all sorts in like caffiene green tea etc, they made her really jittery so I would be careful. I once tried some called 'fibre diet' that were not fat burners but are meant to fill you up so you don't eat so much. They sometimes worked. Would be interested in what others have tried in that…

I have similar sort of thing. I can be good all day at work then get home and think that because I have been good I can have a few little treats then I can't stop

A lot of the time I dnt think it is because you are too thin but because you are thinner than they are used to seeing you so you don't look like you One of my male friends has lost a lot of weight. When I last saw him you could really tell. It didn't look like him , he looked too thin for how I perceive him to look and I…

I find that MFP overestimates the calories burned so you might think you have a deficit but perhaps you only have a tiny one. That, combined with under recording which most people do means you are no longer in deficit I would suggest reducing what MFP says by 20% ish or if you do 60 mins record it as 50 mins Also, when you…

You need to think about some way of carrying whatever you plan to take. If your marathon gives out gels and sports drinks I would suggest trying those out and if you like them rely on them during the race. I dont think you need to be using them for every run you do but certainly for your longest and one other. Gels are v…

If you run they try doing intervals or hill repeats

I've just got a crock pot and interested in veggie recipes or healthy deserts like a healthy rice pudding? What about doing rice or risotto? Any suggestions?

It's quite easy to get in, they let me in!!!

If you felt good on raw then try that again Have you been to ' 30bananasaday' website Lots of discussion forums for support there I would like to be more raw but find it hard. Sounds like you thrived on it so if you are struggling with what you are currently doing I would say go back to raw or high % raw. However, I don't…

Focus on building up a bit more muscle.

How do you get those milage exercise ticker things? I can only manage the weight loss ones

Ran 280 miles Walked about 10 Cycled about 80

So I think that perhaps the best way around this if you think it might be akward is to tell your friend you are aiming for a certain time and make that your goal. Then when she starts walking you can look at your watch and say you want to push on for this time. Maybe even big up a bit how much you want to get under X. You…

You need to run your own race. I have occationally bumped into friends at races and run a while witth them then separated. Sometimes I have done a race and been going for a time eg a couple of years ago I was aiming for around 3.55 at marathon. My friend was aiming for the same so we agreed to run together for as long as…

Hi, I've done 65 marathons and ultras with the longest being 60 miles. If I don't eat my exercise calories I will pass out but on race day I won't eat all of them although I will borrow some for the day before when carbo loading and borrow some the next day when refuelling, I joined MFP in nov and up to April lost about a…

Be careful with the cup translation as a cup of flour will weigh different to a cup of marshmallows so you can't say a cup is a certain weight, I try to find something in grams or just add it myself in g.

Yes, thats true, you would need a lot of apples to get in enough calories , and apples take longer to eat than bananas so there would be a lot of munching, prob get jaw ache eating 2000 cal of apples a day!
-
In answer to your q, I run lots of marathons and ultra marathons. No way can I cram in all the calories burned on a 50 mile run but the next day will be a rest day with only 1200 cal allowed so I ' borrow ' some as I cant survive on 1200!
-
2600 for a 25 mile bike ride seems rather high, 25 mile run yes but not bike ride
-
My protein and bodybuildingsupplements both have cheap protein and lots of good flavours like cookies and cream, bananoffee...
-
Dint think it is a bad idea at all, I would be interested to hear how you get on and now many apples you eat in a day. If you go to a website called 30bananasaday you will find lots of forums, these are people who follow a raw vegan Diet. There is lots of talk of going to banana island where they just eat bananas for…

I run about 70 miles a week and go to the gym. I would not survive on the 1200 MFP gives me! I think MFP over estimates exercise so I have adjusted it down based on other formulas from other places After logging mh exercise I usually have a few hundred spare calories which accounts for under recording! On a rare rest day,…

It's sad how this thread has turned into a big argument with aggressive comments rather than how it was probably intended which was to discuss the benefits of a plant based diet. I read somewhere recently that cats and dogs are about the only animals that eat processed food ( which we feed them) other animals eat raw food…
