  • It is important to feel comfortable in your clothes! If you have lost a size or two, buy that size and get rid of the too big stuff, BUT buy it USED. Check out thrift stores and yard sales in your area or start a clothing exchange on facebook.
  • I think you guys get PMS too!!!! Sorry you are having an off day, I think everyone regardless of gender, has them....take a deep breath & remember that tomorrow is a new day!
  • Thanks for your responses...guess I need to stop thinking of all the weight machines as "scary" or as "guys machines" and try some of them out! Hope I don't hurt myself! Maybe I'll experiment on Saturday when I have more time.
  • I agree with the speaking to her doctor suggestion. Call before her next appointment and set up a time that you can speak to the doctor and share your concerns. The doctor will not be able to provide you with specific information due to HIPPA laws, however he/she should willing to listen to you. You may also want to…
  • At home I use a cheap food scale and plate everything with measuring cups or tablespoons...no more serving spoons for me! When I can't measure & weigh I estimate. Heres my favorite guide to help you estimate more accuratley: http://caloriecount.about.com/article/when_you_cant_measure_estimate_portions
  • Do you guys count green tea as water? I bought a box a tthe begining of the month, but havent drank any yet because I'm not sure how to log it. I've heard that green tea is a really good anti-oxidant too.
  • I can sooooo relate. My first month here I totally rocked it & lost 20 pounds. Since Noveember started I keep gaining & losing the same 5 pounds. I keep saying "once in a while is ok, I've been good," and "it's only one day," except now it's been almost 3 weeks  I feel like my heart is in the right place my head…
  • Many anti-depressants have weight gain as a side effect, speak to the prescribing Dr & share your concerns, most anti-depressants have alternatuve available that do not cause weight gain. Good luck!
  • I've tried it, more than once. I works, but once you eat regular food you gain it all back....so not worth it!
  • I wish I knew! I'm the same way. It's easier for me to not have any at all than it is to have it in moderation! Sucks, cause sometimes I really, really want a taste....but it never ends up being enough.
  • Kind of a soreness, just lets me know it's there, today it felt kind of tight, or pulling...boyfriend says it's because I don't stretch, but I wouldn't even know what kind of stretches to do, or how to do them without hurting myself.
  • Sip water, or eat healthy things that keep your hands busy like pomagrantes one seed at a time, pistachios or peanuts in the shell, a couple of mandarin oranges, low sodium sunflower seeds. I tried gum, but it lost its flavor too quickly & I ended up having several pieces over the course of the day and those 5 calories add…
  • Yep, your palm or a deck of cards, here's another reference that I like: http://caloriecount.about.com/article/when_you_cant_measure_estimate_portions
  • Ok so, anti-oxidants are good, but have nothing to do with detoxing; detoxing isn't real/ is just a crock to swindle people out of money; and to get back on track I need to just do it. My first month here I lost 20 lbs, then about 2 weeks ago started to slip & gained back 5, I was hoping for a magic bullet & thought that…
  • Ya, it makes me sad, I really like him, and Tara is just turning into another Gemma....Juice is my favorite, tho! Oppie was a fave too
  • I LOVE orowheat 100% whole wheat sandwhich thins! 100 calories for both peices and you get a bread taste and feel.
  • As I eat them or as soon after as I can, if I don't I tend to not remember what I had! I also like to know what totals are as I go so I can better budget my meals & snacks. I find I still tend to under estimate calories!
  • I try to have a snack mid-morning and mid-afternoon to ward off hunger. I also keep a bottle of sublingual vitamin B in my desk for days I feel lethargic and start craving sweets or feel like mindless eating.
  • MFP reccomends you eat back you exercise calories because your daily calorie allotment already has a deficit figured. Failure to eat back your exercise calories will give you that little warning at the end of the day saying that you will end up in starvation mode. There are some really good explainations of this in the…
  • I love them plain. I just cut off the very top & start peeling away the skin & picking out the seeds. I like them because they take a long time to eat and keep my hands busy so I don't end up eating mindlessly while watching TV. Wear something old though....again with the stains, I also have yellow fingers right now 'cause…
  • I work in a office where 20 of us have to share 6 vehicles....today I realized I no longer have to tilt the steering wheel up to fit my legs under it.
  • 1/2 a sausage croissanwich, 1/2 a bacon crissanwich (bf & I split two different ones) small hash browns & a carton of orange juice. My calorie goal for the day is 1390 (MFP setting for losing 2 lbs a week)....and you are so right about the Diet Pepsi making things worse. It added to my already enormous sodium count and…
  • Thanks for all the support & excellent advice, because I was so busy beating myself up I realized that I forgot to log my gym time this morning (490 calories burned)! Yay for dinner, & yay for kind words & great people.
  • ^^ I love these!! I have them for a mid morning snack 140 calories, but 9 grams of fiber & 2 grams of protein. They make a 90 calorie version that I haven't tried yet, not sure if it's just smaller or what
  • I agree, it does bug, for all the reasons you stated....."cheat day" also bugs me! It's a life style change, not a temporary fix, how can you cheat on life??!! I just say that I'm working on my health and sometimes I have a treat day.
  • I have two and will be getting a third in a couple of weeks. I say if you want one go for it, just take your career into consideration when thinking about placement, and make sure what ever you get is meaningful to you!

  • I took it for a while, but found it to be inconvenient and expensive (you need like 3 1/2 bottles or something like that to get through the month). I did have some slight weight loss, about 5 pounds in a month, but was not dieting or exercising at the time. I prefer to take a super b vitamin supplement to help with my…
  • 1992! No pics (at work) but Nirvana "Smells Like Teen Spirit" and Metallica "Enter Sandman" were favorite songs, we were wearing grunge (big boots, jeans, lots of flannel), or all black (we were headbangers, not goth....don't think goth existed then, at least not in my town), and everyone saw Wayne's World!
  • This too is SOOOO my plan, it's only one day each month and I don't want to feel deprived or left out!
