almost all grocery store deli counters will let you have a peek at the nutrition label of the cold cuts. What I do is if I'm buying a new type of lunchmeat I've never had before I ask to see the label and I either scan the barcode right then and there or I take a picture of the nutrition label and input the information…

There's a website I remember seeing a while back ago called Dotti's Weight loss or something that had a huge list of restaurants with nutrition information for lots of their menu items but I don't know if it is updated or not.

A complete stranger at the deli counter told me not to worry about calories so much because I was already so thin. You should just eat it. This was after I asked the counter person if I could look at the nutrition label on the back of a block of cheese. My reply was: I'm only this weight BECAUSE I look at the labels.…

I have a medium sized one on my dining room wall and I use it to remember the weights of things I measure as I'm cooking. For example if I'm having a salad for lunch and I'm adding up to 10 items to make the whole thing I will jot things down as I go. Because chances are I wont remember that I used 85g of lettuce and 28g…

I do this as well. I followed a recipe from a magazine and even though the mag said it made 8 servings, I ended up with 7 "1-cup" servings after I measured it up so I changed the serving size to 7 and voila.

yes I realize that and the entry was for the prepared version so i assumed it was correct...well we all know what happens when one assumes! LOL. but noted, yes take a second to really look at the label and double check for "as packaged" vs. "prepared".

I just had this exact issue, was looking up instant mashed potatoes and found one entry with several confirmations so I added it to my diary but upon inspection I noticed the fat was 0...uhm I just added 3 tbsp of butter so...I guess it was magic butter with no fat? I ended up putting it into the recipe builder and problem…

I was never obese to begin with. I was 30 pounds overweight though. I still started with just walking. Eventually I felt like I wanted to jog/run so I began the C25K app and it was one of the best things I did. At first I thought that the intervals were too easy but soon enough I realized that there's a reason they do it…

Not if she is following the MFP method. MFP already builds in the deficit to lose the amount of weight she indicated when she first set it up. So, yes, she should eat back the exercise calories so that she does not create too large of a deficit and lose weight too quickly.

I am 5'5" and currently I'm 145 and my goal is 135. Ultimately I want to get my body fat % to about 22 (down from my current of 27). If those two numbers come close then I will be very happy.
