  • My favorite way of baking salmon is combining some honey dijon mustard, lemon juice, olive oil (just a little) garlic, and dill seeds and just brush it on the salmon. Pop it in the oven and BAM, tastyness in fish form! So good! The recipe doesn't have to be precise, just add the ingredients as much or as little as you…
  • I love quinoa! My favorite is putting some mushrooms and a little feta cheese in it, so yummy! It's pretty bland, so you have to doctor it a little. I also like eating it wth some cinnamon, dried cranberries, and blueberries for a breakfast oatmeal-like dish. So many things you can do with it!
  • I work at a cardiology office. If your EKG came back normal, there is a fairly good chance that what you are feeling is benign. If you were having a heart attack or having problems with your valves, it would have shown up on the EKG. It honestly sounds muscular in nature. I wouldn't worry about it unless you experience it…
  • Dietician told me anything that doesn't have caffeine or sugar is water :) This includes teas and the little water flavoring packets, it's all counted as water!
  • You could invest in a heart rate monitor since you seem to be doing a lot of exercises that aren't tied to a machine. It will tell you exactly how many calories you burn based on your heart rate, how tall you are, how much you weigh, etc. Or you could just guess using the exercises on the site. Something like bootcamp…
  • bump!
  • I get that too. My whole feet go numb. I heard if you loosen the strings on your shoes, it may help but I haven't had any luck with that, and my shoes are brand new.
  • I like the issue he brought up about the government being so concerned about the rate of obesity in our country, yet wouldn't put in playgrounds, added busses so kid's didn't walk to school anymore, etc. It was pretty eye-opening. That one guy was mad that McDonald's was the only way a child could go and play, and i was…
  • bump for later!
  • Well, i probably weight a lot more then you, so that will increase my calorie burning. But I go between 3-4 mph and up the resistance in stages up to 3.
  • It tastes like delicious goodness in jar form! :P Just kidding. It's really good, it does have a mild beany after-taste, but not like, in a bad way. It's good on everything!
  • You can buy it in the health food part of grocery stores, like at Kroger. I've bought it there before. Or at Trader Joes. I love quinoa! I eat it in the morning with a little bit of regular, uncooked oatmeal, almonds, and cranberries or blueberries. Yummo!
  • My dietician told me no, sugar, no caffeine, no problem :) Teas can count as water under those circumstances, because i drink decaf green tea with a little bit of slepnda and it counts as water. Also those little water bottle shake ups count too.
  • This guy at the gym i work out wears shorts that are shorter then his fingertips, and they are the swishy kind, and they go up on the sides....*shudder*. It makes me feel creepy cause sometimes he talks to me and my friends.
  • try mealsmatter.org and see if that is something you are looking for
  • I love biscuits and gravy! So tasty! You know, some people in the States actually eat biscuits and gravy with peaches on top? Never had it before, but I would love to try it sometime, lol. I love me some oatmeal too though. Yesterday i mixed in some blueberries with oatmeal, and I was full until lunch. It was awesome!
  • Anything that is non-caffeinated and no sugar counts as water :)
  • I work in a cardiology office as a medical assistant. A stress test will tell you if there are any blockages in your heart valves and arteries. However, I don't think a doctor will order you one unless you are experiencing active chest pain. Instead, look around where you live for a calcium score test. It's a 30 minute,…
  • Wow, thanks guys! I'll definitely be taking all this in to consideration lol
  • If you are looking for something to help you lose weight, try chromium picolinate. It's a vitamin, perfectly safe. My doctor recommended that I use it to help my hunger issues. It also will help you metabolize sugars and carbs more effectively. I would use it first. Ephedra is bad for you
  • There is a VERY rare condition where if you drink like, 2 gallons of water in like, 3 hours and don't pee, it can technically cause your cells to burst and i guess that's really bad, but water spread out over the entire day is not bad for you at all. You can drink as much as you want just as long as you pee often and…
  • I made cucumber hummus this weekend, so yummy! I eat it with pita bread and all kinds of different veggies.
  • greek yogurt and tuna are good snacks
  • Chew lots of gum and drink some green tea. Its an appetite suppressant. Especially if the tea is hot, it makes you feel "fuller"
  • If you are hungry, eat them. If not, don't. Thats what I do.
  • Tuna! It's non perishable and has lots of protein
  • The personal trainer I used to have refused to let me workout when I was sick, because it can make your body sicker. I would rest and hit it hard when you feel better
  • Mandarin oranges! Yum! Or with cut up cucumbers, that's yummy too
  • Its funny i just saw this post, i just chowed down on crackers and hummus like it was a big peice of pizza LOL. It was delicious.
  • Increase your calorie intake just slightly, if you aren't eating enough, you aren't going to lose as fast. Eat something high in protein and low in fat. Veggies are very filling, as is peanut butter and hummus.
