2 adults, 1 five year old. We eat out 2/Month and NEVER get takeout. We spend about 200-225/week. So about 900-1,000 per month. We make our own breakfast and lunch. Buy mostly produce and organic meats. Oh, I also use coupons, but groceries are expensive.

It is to little, because once you lose 5 pounds, you will have to lower your calories to keep losing. My suggestion would be to eat the 1200, no less. You should do the stretches before and after the 30 day shred. I do the shred with weights and do 6 days a week and my off day I do the 6 week 6 pack, which is easier and less leg work.
