Well considering the obliques are under the love handles and therefore on the sides of the body they would eventually make you wider.. however, once your bf% is low enough to see abs, obliques look amazing.. so up to you..

This or running will shape your legs and core and will provide the cardio to burn the fat.

Fat burning is generally cardio, ie. elliptical, walking, running, circuit training etc... To lose fat you need cardio, to tone muscles, or in your case have better thighs, do the excersises the second person said!! good luck!!

Also, what shoes are you running in? if you have had them a while or if they are worn consider replacing.. when you do replace, be sure to go to a running store and have them analyze your stride to make sure you are getting the right shoes for you. I dont know... i was told its for people who are not active to promote a healthy life style instead of letting active people do it because we are already healthy.. I understand a little but it still sucks...

First off... congrats!! Its a blast.. Just take it slow... your training will get you to the finish, just dont destroy it by eating weird things and not being hydrated. Use all the water stops and kepp moving forward.. Good luck too you!!

I use map my run but same thing... best part is that it will track and safe your route or you can phsically create one... Love this app... I have almost 1500 miles since June 12th 2012.

Happens to guys too.. ive lost 70 lbs and even though I can see my abs I still feel like I look big.. im in a size 30 and still feel like my love handles show thru my clothes or hang over shorts when im shirtless
