I work nights as well, I just eat as I would normally, and log from wake up to sleep. My frineds think its odd to eat breakfast at 1030pm, and dinner at 8am. On the plus side its hard to find a big greesy cheeseburger at 8am  so that save me a lot!

I am not sure if this helps, but have you chacked into any co-ops in your area? I think farms in some areas will allow you to work and get some of the food to take home.

Don't give up!! I know for me when I tried the low carb diets I couldn't do them, heck I could smell pasta 10 miles away! I have since just found that I don't deprive myself of anything, I just pratice moderation. If I want something I can have it, I know I just need to hit the gym harder that day, or allow for it other…

I have to go to the gym, I have a treadmill at home and have had an elliptical, both were expensive, and they turned into dust colletors. I have tried DVD's at home, but lack the motivation to get it done. I love my classes at the gym, I have found friends in the classes that help push me to do my best and keep my…

I belong to the WI athletic club and LOVE it! I agree with the person who said interview trainers to see who you would work best wit. I have had trainers who did not get my goals and just put me on a plan that they felt was best, and then I found the best trainer in the world at my gym when I joined last year, he got my…

I have a job in the summer where I have to be out walking for 10 to 12 hours, a co-worker told me the best way to avoid blisters is to use vasoline on your feet before you put socks on. It creates a barrier between your skin and the sock and helps keep mositure away from the skin. It feels odd at first, but when I finally…

I got a personal trainer at the gym to help get me over some motivation issues there, it helps to have someone hold you accountable for your work out, and since you are paying for it that provides motivation to go :) And I love my slow cooker. I get a big meal and portion it out so I can grab it and go. ( I work 3rd shift…

I work night shift as well, but just 8 hours. I log my meals from wake to sleep, just a a day shifter would do. I know on other blogs many night shifters change their logs to times so 0000-0400, 0400-0800, ect and then eat small meals through out the day. You just have to find what works best for you and the most important…

At the gyms I have gone to, most people are in their own world and keep to themselves. I know how you feel though, I still look around at times to see if people are giving me the look, espically when I try to run on the treadmill, but I have never seen anyone staring or thankfully laughing at me, Good luck and have…
