  • Oh wow, that is awesome, I wish I had room for an excersise bike! I don't really have much equipment as we are short on space. I have a stepper which is OK and I also have a mini rower.... it's like and elastic thing that you attach to your feet and pull on in a rowing motion. Takes up no space and only cost me £4 so a…
  • I had gammon, pineapple, tomato and chips (fries). Very unhealthy but I have to eat what everyone else eats unfortunatley. I've suggested salmon salad and baked potato for tonight's dinner, so fingers crossed on that one!
  • You're not that far under. Have you been losing weight at a steady pace while eating under? Maybe you could try and have a little more for lunch. I know that sounds difficult when you are full, but I just open a tin of pineapple and have half of that one day and half the next because it's refreshing and not too filling.…
  • I've given up chocolate for Lent so my boyfriend is buying me apple crisps instead... they're like a dried apple with no added sugar. We're going to get ready meals in as a treat because take away is too many calories. I'm having Weight Watchers chicken curry at only 300 calories, but a sneaky low calorie dessert which I…
  • I've dropped 10lbs but have not yet gone down a dress size. I guess it depends on where you loose it from and where you tone up most. I've only lost 2 inches from my waist, and although my UK size 12s are easier to get on, I still cannot comfortably wear them, they are way to tight! Maybe a couple of pounds more and I'll…
  • Thanks for the links, what a great idea! I will give some a go I think!
  • That is fantastic and so inspiring, well done!
  • Hi and welcome to the forum  I'm 19, I think it's great to get into good habits while you are young then you will stick with it later in life! And well done you on doing it for yourself :flowerforyou:
  • There is a great excersise that I have found recently called "the dead bug" it works quite a few muscles but mainly your abs. You lie down on your back, then slowly reach your arms up vertically and at the same time, lift your legs and bend your knees so that they are parallel to your hips (so you look like you're sitting…
  • I used to work in a DIY store lifting large pots of paint and walking around a lot. The weight dropped off me to start with, but then sort of levelled out. I didn't gain, just sort of stayed the same but I was a good weight then!
  • Water is 100% natural and your body will work with it. Plus, it's a lot cheaper than those Detox thingys you can buy!
  • Wow! Well done
  • I wanted to start running too, so I think I will try your tips with the walking and running thing! I used to run loads when I was younger, but now I doubt I could make it to the end of my street without collapsing!
  • Ouch, I need 1990 for a lazy day! I eat about 1200 on a lazy day... even then I struggle! On a busy day I will eat 1300 (which is what this site advises) plus the extra I've burnt off during excersise, which totals to about 1600? I'm not sure how accurate that calculation is - I guess it varies from person to person. What…
  • Teacakes. They are so nice with the chocolate, marshmellow and biscuit! However, since I've given up chocolate for Lent I can't just go and devour one right now, no matter how much I really, really want to. I'll have to try not to over do it come Easter, 'cause I know I will just have to have one!
  • What if it is decaffinated tea?
  • Welcome  this is a great site, full of people all with the same goal and they are all very supportive. And we don't bite.... honest!
  • Hi welcome to the site
  • Hi and welcome! This site is really good and everyone on the forum is really supportive so you're in good hands. All the best with the baby and the weight loss :flowerforyou:
  • Thanks for the support  I felt really bad before but I feel a little better about it now - afterall there's not much I can do about it now - I've eaten it! I'm over even though I've done an hour of excersise.... oops! Never mind, tomorrow is a new day.
  • I struggle to eat 1200 calories too. I think "starvation mode" depends on your own body and you will learn when you stop loosing weight from eating too little. Experiement a bit, but give it time. Maybe try eating 1200 a day for a while, if you can and see how it compares to eating what you are eating now - you may…
  • I bought a size 10 pair of jeans. I don't know what that is in US sizes, I think it might be a 6...? My reward will be looking great in them!
  • I went over my calories today for the first time in over a week. I feel really sluggish too. I had ice cream today and a waffle! I went over by about 300 calories. Does it make a lot of difference do you think?
  • My boyfriend loves McDonald's, and I have to admit it is very handy if you're out and you need somewhere cheap to eat out that won't take forever! If we go, I just have a happy meal and then eat the 4 nuggets and share the fries with him, drink the Diet Coke. I know it's bad, but it could be worse!
  • Yes I understand what you mean. I feel almost repulsed by some foods now. I saw an advert for a Subway breakfast sub with sausage and egg and bacon. Before this I would have gone, 'wow look at that' and when I saw it, I just felt a bit queasy. I sometimes have to make myself eat, even if I am hungry I sometimes don't want…
  • Wow, everyone is doing so well! I've lost 6lbs since joining two weeks ago.
  • I don't really get oz! I've had about 750ml today so far.
  • I used to be a vegetarian. I had to stop once I started travelling when I was younger as I just couldn't eat. I was a vegetarian until I was 14, for about two years. I love my veggies so eating them wasn't a problem. You need to make sure you take in plenty of iron and eat enough protien though. I used to love having a…
  • In the UK on Channel 4 we have a weekly programme called Supersize Vs Superskinny. It's really interesting and takes one very slim person who is underweight and one obese person and makes them swap diets for a week. They then put them on healthy eating for three months and bring them back in to see how it has imrpoved…
  • Thanks  maybe just walking to work and back is enough until I recover. I'm just scared I'll get lazy while I'm lounging around all day!
