• Fantastic! It is a great feeling to get there. When I finally hit that point I went and got my first tattoo ever. It says, Love who you are! I need to be reminded every now and then.
• I started DEPO 6 weeks after having my one and only child. I haven't had TOM in over 15 years - it has been heaven. I am told that it can cause weight gain - maybe it did but it does not seem to be keeping me from losing it!
• I have a frienemie who I have known since 4th grade. She started to lose weight last summer, I started in January. I was dropping weight fast at the beginning, since she had been at it awhile she was dropping more slowly. I was very supportive of her, telling her she looked good, I could really see where it was coming off,…
• Awesome job! Wow a size 2? I started at a 16 and have never in my life worn a 2. That's fabulous. I ran in to my brother-in-law and his wife the other day. I haven't seen them in months. I've lost 49 pounds. Think they would say anything - nope of course not! you can't tell me they didn't notice! LOL That's ok, hubby and I…
• I'm 5'9" Start Weight: 228 Current Weight: 179 Goal: We'll see how I feel at 160, my trainer says 140! LOL I'd add a progress pic but I have no idea how! :ohwell:
• You look fabulous! We are very similar, I am 5'9" and started at 228. Not at my goal yet but on my way. Isn't it funny how our taste in clothes change along the way? LOL Keep up the great work!
• Truly on days like this the forums are a complete and total waste of time!
• I have just started with a trainer this week at our "local" gym (about 20 minutes out!). I'm looking forward to it as I've been doing classes with low weight/high reps for awhile. Now I'm ready to bump it up. Yesterday was assessment day, tomorrow is first actual training day.
• I bought some new dress pants for work when I dropped from a size 16 to a size 12. Other than that I've bought some second hand dresses and such to get me through.
• It truly bothers me that someone would find this disgusting. Everyone has issues with body image. Maybe, hopefully, someday she will decide that she wants to be healthy. Healthy does not mean skinny! Feel sad for how she was brought up, feel sad that she has accepted this as her inevitable way of life, feel empathy,…
• Same problem! Getting dressed for work is a challenge! After I went down 2 sizes I had to go buy some dress pants. But still losing so the problem persists. I found even my old tops aren't working. They are so big they look bad on me!
• I am 5'9 and have lost 44 pounds. I have about 25 more to go and have stalled big time. I keep going back and forth on the same 3 pounds.
• Thank you. I needed this today, keep bumping it up! I have been struggling with gaining and losing the same 3 pounds for like a month. Can't seem to break that next level. Time to step it up and push on! :)
• When I hit below 200 I got my first tattoo (I'm 43!). It is on my shoulder and it's a dress form and says Love Who You Are! Just to remind me. I have a ways to go yet to hit my ultimate goal! My hubby also started a pandora bracelet for me for my smaller goals! Great job on your loss! Love the tattoo!
• Xenia :)
• There is nothing wrong with putting your health first! Kudos for that! I have only recently started working out in the early morning so I have my evenings available. It gives me more family time and I hope my body will eventually adjust to the early workouts. Right now, I'm just tired!
• The DVD's are good but there is no replacement for a class if you can get to one. It is more motivating and I find that my DVD's just sit there because I'm always going to do it "later"! There are several girls in my class that are heavier (and many that are more coordinated than me! LOL). You set your own impact level by…
• I struggle with the scale so much! When I was young my dad did Weight Watchers and would go for a weekly weigh in. So I grew up with the belief that this is the only way to judge weight loss! I was becoming obsessive about the scales so I put them away for 3 weeks. When I got on them at the end of that time frame they said…
• I think a 10 is awesome. I started out a 16/18 (16's were tight, 18's were loose) and I am in a 12 now. I always used to say I would be so happy if I could get back to a 12. Know what? Now I want to get into a 10! I will know when I get to where I truly want to be. You will too, trust yourself. If you like what you see in…
•
Ever think about putting less emphasis on scale weight and more emphasis on other things (measurements, for example)?
I am trying hard to do this. Had my daughter literally hide the scale on me because I was obsessing! LOL I feel better not worrying about it. Measurements seem to move slowly for me but I…
• I'm still surprised everytime I go to put on an outfit that fit last year, only now it's too big and unflattering! I don't know why but it surprises me every time! And yes, I am bruising easier and cold a lot! Hoping my feet will shrink and my hands, my wedding band hasn't fit for several years!
• I just got my first tattoo at 43. It is on my shoulder. The pain was tolerable, certainly not the worst pain I've ever felt. I put a lot of time in deciding what to get because, hey it's forever! Make it count! I went to someone that a friend recommended and I had seen his work.

• I have been on Depo Provera for years. I'm told it causes weight gain, may be why I'm here, but I doubt it. I don't think any of them cause gain in and of themselves, it's what you do along with it! I've lost almost 40 pounds and I'm still on it so it certainly hasn't kept me from losing. Good luck!
• I use Jay Robb - love that it has very low carbs and sugar. Hate that it is very expensive. Planning on trying the WalMart one next. However, I use my shake to replace breakfast, I use 1 scoop of protien, 12 oz of unsweetened vanilla almond milk and 1/2 bag of the frozen yoplait smoothie mix. You can't even taste the…
• Do you like peanut butter? In my experience, kids love it and you can eat it with your apples. It's one of the "good" fats and would help to increase your calories! Good luck.
• I see a huge difference. Go put on a shirt that was tight in the sleeves before, you will know there is a difference! Great job and keep up the good work. Hope your back gets better soon! :)
• I am having the same issue. Two Saturdays ago (my "official" weigh in) I was at 191. Very excited close to finally getting out of the 190's. That Tuesday I was 188.8, hooray, I had made it. Haven't been out of the 190's since. And I've been hitting my workouts and keeping my calories on track. Unfortunately, those calories…
• Big ((((Hugs)))) I've been feeling much the same way but have no idea why. Any chocolate in the office is in serious danger of disappearing! You got this, you'll look back at it later and laugh!
• I tried this with the vanilla greek yogurt and left out the vanilla extract. Frankly, it was ok but certainly not like cookie dough. Maybe if it was partially frozen or something...
• You look amazing and gorgeous! Yay you!
