Hate it when an image gets cut off...

So if I spray 5 shots of this stuff on my rice, I'm going to add 4.5 calories to my intake? Holy first world problem. Honestly, 0.9 calories per spray? Spray it on your beans, one good fart and you'll work that off. The stuff people obsess about simply amazes me.

Just keep an eye on the sodium, as well. If you're watching that, that is...

Have some oatmeal and toss a scoop of protein powder in it. Problem solved! Except the chewy part, that is... 2 packets of instant oatmeal have 8 grams of protein, so no scoop of powder needed unless you want to load it up. Toss in a half scoop (about 12.5 g protein) in one packet and that's about as much as two eggs…

I'm 5'7" with a target goal of around 185. I started 12/9/12 at 251 pounds, currently at (stuck for a week) 222. So yeah... Let's see some light at the end of the tunnel! My goal is actually to get to 15% body fat more than the weight. At 40 years old, that's just fine. Got a ways to go though.

Bananas and rice. Although, not together... Bananas are fairly bland and swallow easily, and are rather filling. Rice is... rice. Good, starchy food. Low impact, easy to digest, have a nice day. Good luck!

Evolve some gills and stick to water. Best of luck!

How many calories does one burn while choking a chicken? How do you enter that in MFP? Maybe I should start that exercise regimen... Hmmmm...

Your weight on that scale is a measurement. But it isn't the only, or the most important measurement you an work with. There are basically two kinds: 1. Objective measurements. These are quantifiable measurements. Weight, waist circumference, body fat percentage and height are all of this type. The nice thing is that they…

Orlando, feel free to add me.

1200 to 1500. But like the last person said, everyone's needs are different.

My wife had been stuck for 1 week or so, at 1200 calories. She bumped it up and starting losing weight again. It happens.

My neighbor is in a wheelchair. He walks his dog (OK, the dog does the walking, but you know what I mean) every morning. It definitely gets him moving every day. Next time I talk to him I'll try to remember to ask him what else he does.

Maybe you didn't go to college. Yet. I used my GI Bill benefits to the max, going back to school three times after I got out, getting my A.S., B.S., and eventually went back (no GI Bill benefits left for this one) and got my M.B.A. Sometimes there's just a delay, not an endpoint.

When I decided to go into the Air Force, the recruiter looked at 18 year old me, at 5'7" tall and a stout (you know, a polite word for fat) and out of shape 215 pounds... and said "you know, you're going to have to lose a bit of weight." So, since that's what needed to be done, I did it. I worked out 3 times a week with…

40 years old, 5'7" and about 230 pounds. between 45-50 bpm. When I weighed 250, about 60-65 bpm.

Oh yeah, and the motorcycle is more wheelie prone, LOL... Surprise!

Even just 20 pounds down, I can roll onto my stomach in bed .Comfortably, I mean... that's kind of cool!

I honestly didn't know about the nerve and cushioning aspects. I just wouldn't cut it out because it would make me miserable (I had known about the vitamin absorption, as well). Lots of neat info to be had, learn something new every day.

There's another thread... too late. But she only went over the daily goal by 500 calories. Honestly, unless you're 105 lbs and maintaining a 1200 calorie diet to stay that way, 500 calories shouldn't be a big thing for one day.

A few positives about fat: 1. Some vitamins need fat to be absorbed. 2. Fat adds a pleasant texture to many foods. 3. Fat is high in calories. Yeah, I know, sounds counter-intuitive, but for a survival purpose, high calories are good! 4. Fat is naturally occurring in many delicious foods. Ultimately, what are your goals?…

I saw your other thread... so I saw how this turned out for you. I'm sure you've got some serious self-loathing over it, and that makes you want to go chow down some more. And that sucks. So. You overdid it. Once. Not the end of days, here. Just a setback. You can either let it cripple you and fail in your goal of getting…

Spongeh: 2nd to last, on the track. Cool!

I'd second that one! Shrimp is good, too. Some places (Pei Wei) also make a tofu and vegetable Pad Thai, as well. However, sometimes that can be deceiving, as Pei Wei's Tofu and veggie has slightly more calories than the chicken! The only knock on Pei Wei is the portion size. Even looking at the nutrition info, there are 2…

Every morning. I go up some days, down others, but don't really get too bummed over a gain. 2-3 pounds can come or go over the course of a day, easily. I keep a calender in the bathroom, and write my weight that morning on it. It helps to look at the week prior, and see what the weights are 6,7, and 8 days ago. Typically…

I prefer a one or two egg omelet with an ounce of cheese. All covered with a healthy dose of Cholula (hot sauce!) Sometimes wrapped in a small tortilla and pan fried crispy (1 egg if I do that). If I'm really hungry in the morning, or know I have a very active day or long wait until lunch, 3 eggs. That's a rare occasion. I…

Not a lady, but... Why not just weigh yourself anyways? I know you say it will be a little higher than normal, but the key is to keep focused on what your goals are, not an arbitrary number in time. If it's high... so be it. Keep track of what you eat, try and stay sensible, and focus towards the end goals you set for…

I'm 40, and out to lose about 70 pounds from where I started. Sent a request, best of luck to all.

It's the stupidest thing... Cheese. I can sit down with a block of good cheese and just slice and chow down. It's my kryptonite. Mmmm... Kerrygold Dubliner Irish cheese... The devil's dairy product.
