  • Oh, and add some plyo work!!
  • I also say add yoga and take away the adduction/abduction machines...they suck. Not good for women, every trainer and fitness guru says this!
  • Cheerios! Plain & simple =)
  • Ipod- get an armband, they are pretty good. For everything else, this little guy does the trick! http://www.roadid.com/Common/LearnMore.aspx?PID=24
  • No leaning on the handlebars as everyone else has said...cheats you out of a better workout.
  • You can definitely focus on speed and distance at once, per say...but not at exactly the same time. Try 1 run a week as a speed workout...intervals, mile repeats, fartleks (you can google these it'll explain it better than I can) are some great ways to work on speed. You can also make 1 run a week your long run, only…
  • Could be runners stomach .... that's a different kind of cramp feeling though... as in, #2 pain if you know what I mean! Thats very common. Happens to me after almost every run or during a lot of runs!
  • Could be pain in your hip flexors...common with runners who have weak ones. Yoga helps. I get the pain when I do runs over 12 miles. It could also be your form when running!
  • My luck I'll do the Lion Face and someone will walk in my office while I'm doing it, lol. I don't even know how I'd explain that. I'm laughing just thinking about it!
  • I do a PB and wheat sandwich on a peppridge farm sandwich thin everyday. No jelly. I feel that since I'm a vegitarian, PB is a pretty good source of protein. I eat this M-F for lunch along with triscuits and some fruit. I see nothing wrong with it...but thats just me! =)
  • I completely agree with this. There are definitely thin girls, and I am one, that would be hurt if someone judged me like that, just as its hurtful the other way around. I bust my hump every day for a couple hours at least to be thin.
  • Whenever I see someone at the gym (guy or girl) that has a smokin body, I compliment them! I don't get envious like I used to becuase everyone is shaped differently. I think its total motivation when I see a girl with jacked arms because I think... "hmm, what can I do to go in that direction?"
  • Agree with the previous poster! You can get the taco seasoning from Taco Bell at the grocery store and make your own...for not too much money, either! I'm a vegetarian so I don't eat them but I make them for my hubby. With the really lean meat and lettuce, tomato...not so bad!

  • Nice! Caesar salads are usually total traps....many think they're healthy but are actually horrendous for you! You did a great job changing the dressing and all, that actually sounds yummy! I love balsamic dressing! =)

  • That's just protein for ya! Definitely cleans you out, that's for sure! Lol.
  • Wow...really about the eating nothing but apples? That is so awful for you!!! =/ I agree completely with kdiamond! Strength training, good diet, cardio, running uphill...definitely has reduced mine. I train like mad and I still have it. Lots of women do so I've just accepted that!
  • I'm up at 4:30 everyday aside from the weekends ...at the gym working out at 5 until 6:35 then out the door there at 7:05 =)
  • Some of my favorites: The Catalyst - Linkin Park On the Floor- JLo The Cave- Mumford & Sons Black Betty- Ram Jam
  • Oh and just like momofcole said, race number on the front...everyone can pick out a noob when the number is on the back of them! =)
  • Hi! That's wonderful! Great to see another runner on here! =) As far as dinner goes, I always go by the rule nothing out of the ordinary. If you were doing a super long endurance race, I'd say carbload. With a 5k though, you can get away with just your normal dinner .... not a lot of grease or anything like that though,…
  • That happens to me all the time at work!!! I never ever eat and the two billion reasons people come up with to have a "food day" and people say that I'm "snobby" because I don't. Whatever!!! Sorry that coworked did that to you, she's lame. Good for you for not giving in!!!
  • I do Yoga X every Friday night and my long runs (12+ miles) are on Saturdays. I don't do the entire Yoga X video, though. I do it from the beginning up until after the standing balance poses. I don't think if affects my run the next day at all.
  • I am OBSESSED with giraffes! I have a little collection of them at my house. I have all types! Ok...I sound like a HUGE loser now, lol.
  • You definitely need weight for a deadlift...kind of crazy that he suggested it without. I don't even get how that would be beneficial!

  • I would say don't give up running but as everyone else has said add in yoga! Yoga is great for stretching and really helps you run better, in my opinion. I do yoga at least once a week with all of my other cardio and weight training.
  • They're natural sugars, not refined so it's not bad. I wouldn't worry about it!
  • I am a runner and a triathlete and I have cellulite. Unfortunately I train for hours and hours a week and it hasn't really gone anywhere. All women have it, in fact, so do most of the really skinny ones, too. It's just the luck we have being women! I'm sure its not as bad as you think, though!
  • Go to a local running store if you have one and let them assess they way you walk, etc...they will pick you out a perfect pair of shoes! Works everytime =)
  • Hi there! I began swimming over a year ago when I started competing in Triathlons...I swim 3x a week aside from running, biking, lifting and yoga. Swimming is a nice break from all of the pressure I put on my joints! =)
