I do take it a week before my PMS. It's a cummulative effect so, usually you need to take it for a few days to work. Do take it at night because it can cause drowsiness. I googled the side effects and there were some but I can't recall them all at this time, so I recommend doing so.

I have and I feel saner. Once a month I get my body fat % checked at the gym.

I joined on Monday but didn't realize there was a forum to be part of. So have done my 30 DS since Monday. On board!

Cruella De Kill. Love it!

This week I started potty training my son with limited results. But he did pee. I shingled my first roof of the year with my fathers company. I ran/walked 10K twice...haaaaaarrrrd I ate what I wanted all weekend and didn't feel too guilty:)
-
Beautifully said. I am going to do exactly that! My hydration was not stellar.

Walking sounds fine to me. Slow and steady wins the race, eventhough this isn't a race. I'll do the 10% a week training and perhaps run another time. Closer to fall. I'm not crazy, afterall. The painkiller thing seemed a bit odd to me also. PS I was never planning on running the whole 25K, maybe not even half.

Thank you sooooo much for all the help. I should specify that this is a fun run. Just a group of us doing something crazy so obviously there isn't going to aid stations apart from a call to our significant others to pick up our broken bodies. We have no time limit.

That was an interesting read. Makes me feel a bit more confident. Now as for what to bring. Cell phone, music, bandaids, water, gatorade, money, ID, power bar...anything else?
-
I was kinda expecting that advice. I have the option to call someone to pick me up if I overestemated my abilities. I'm going to work up slowly and stop if I feel discomfort. I'm not willing to hurt myself over a walk. Thanks

I love that quote. Shunke, you're awesome and I agree.
-
Sound advice. This was the first year I started to do all of the things mentioned in this article and it is the first time I have seen the results that I have always strived for. Great article.

Fantastic job! Nine months on,nine months off. Absolutely inspiring.

Holy heck, what a difference.

If yo have a heart rate monitor yo can get your calorie burn from there then just manually log in the Program name. Otherwise, I suppose the closest thing would be circuit training.

Thanks! Anything bad to say? Gotta hear the bad along with the good.

I'm guessing the schedule rotates the 3 DVD's around. So far it looks like I might be getting some more dvd's.

Bee pollen? I am curious. I use wheat germ to add a little more fibre, iron and protein to whatever I am eating. It's great to add to baked goods or even, though somewhat redundant on toast.
-
I have heard this also. But I am still sceptical about it (starvation mode) being untrue. Years of the starvation mode myth makes me want to do more research, because if it is indeed a myth, why do people not lose weight on very low calorie diets overtime?

It's tough. I found out that I was an emotional eater too when my grandmother died this past weekend. I ate what I wanted with the knowledge that it wasn't going to instantly turn into fat. I gave myself time to do what I wanted and feel better. No worrying about "silly" things like fat loss. Feel better = eat better.…

I love my coffee but from what I have read coffee is not a substitute, even decaf considering that for each cup of coffee (100 mg caffeine) your body needs 3 cups of water to compensate for the water loss that occurs due to coffee's diuretic effect.

I really like the idea of doing that. Thank you.

I have always gravitated to big guys. I'm a wopping 5'1" and I just love it when a man eclipses me. Healthy big though, no one wants their loved one to die an early death. On the same token I don't really care for hulking muscles...some are nice.

Thanks for the info...going to read it for sure.

Ontario, eh?

Thanks everyone for all the pre-fueling tips!
-
I am doing Insanity and am on my second phase. I was exausted by the end of month one so pre-fuiling sounds like an excellent idea. What would you pre-fuel with? Carbs, protein, in shake form, etc...? PS. I haven't got far to go but I did get some results the first month...not much but husband lost 13lbs the first month.…

I love that! Got some fight in her yet. Sorry to hear it at the same time though. Thank you everybody.
-
All great advice. thanks. Now it's time to put it into action.

If you want your muscles to grow then no, do not train the same muscles two days in a row. If you're trying to lose weight and not grow muscle then by all means go ahead and do jillian everyday making sure to take a day off. The body itself needs a rest day otherwise you just burn out. I did her everyday and still grew…
