Why not? I have lost 70 lbs "using MFP tools" and am at a stand still. I have changed tons of things and tried a ton of new things but MFP isn't the end all be all of fitness and weight loss. It is a tool as you said, not a remedy, and what works for one may not work for another....and what works on day one may not work on…

Changed for me the longer I have done it. Haven't really had meat since May here. I do try and get a whole grain for my meals usually so I don't feel hungry soon after. Nooodles are great way to fill up with your veggies as well.

Yes, chafing. Use Monistat Soothing Care Chafing Relief Powder-Gel or the store brand equivalent. Works like a charm.

Personally, I would have said in the most kind and polite manner "excuse me, but do you have a problem?" normally they trip over themselves in embarrassment when confronted. Kill them with kindness in the end kiddo ;)

I would actually write a note/loan document, with interest, and make her sign if you choose to lend it (you can find them on the internet easily). If you don't choose to lend it I would tell her exactly why, don't lie or that puts you on the same level. just my 2 cents....

I still do buy some things for my hubby but i try to buy things i won't eat mostly or single servings of the things that tempt me. all of it gets put away as soon as i get home and cannot stay out on a counter ever. good luck!

welcome..i had to play with my breakfasts and get used to eating on a schedule again when I started last year. Days when I am just starving when I wake i eat oatmeal with flax seed, the oil from flax and the fiber will help you feel full. Protein does not make me personally feel full, ever. my typical meals contain at…

How hard are you really trying? I know, it may seem harsh to say but when I have done well I was being honest with myself about what I was and was not doing. When I was failing it was because I was making excuses for my behavior when I should have just put up and shut up! Your diary is private so I can't see what you are…

Cheer up buttercup! You HAVE to remember that this process is really way more mental than most people like to acknowledge. Your attitude determines a lot. Be positive on the outside even when you don't feel it inside and it will eventually permeate you entirely. Set reasonable goals (i.e. 1-2 lbs per week), set mini goals…

Ignore the rudeness of others; they seem to have forgotten they were once new here and I am sure they all had questions that someone was kind enough to answer in a polite manner. Welcome to the site. Some others have given you the best information possible with diet and exercise; eat good foods that fuel your body, eat…

Ordered it; it's the same amount as a physical therapy co-pay so i figured worth the risk :)

They look fantastic. But did you use spenda or stevia? Typically is you use stevia you have to reduce the amount compared to any other sweetener.

I see it this way: he is actually an amazing kid to be supporting himself at his age. Frankly he probably can't afford to go do anything and there is probably a bit of depression on his part. You should certainly be able to kindly tell your daughter that you think he may not be the right person for the rest of her life but…

3 ounces is a normal healthy serving of any meat; weighing it will always be the most accurate gauge. I have weighed so long now that I am pretty accurate at getting the right amount the first time.

no shoes here, just socks...do what feels comfy for you!

Absolutely! A picture someone took of me is a big reason that drove me here. And recently i had another totally floor me because I don't feel as fat as I actually look SO we just have to keep on pushing until the image in the mirror matches the image in the camera lens :flowerforyou:

bump, thanks for the idea

Are you weighing and measuring your food or eyeballing? So many times if you aren't a stickler about the amounts you are under estimating the calories you are taking in daily.

i know there will be a ton who disagree but just this morning i noticed a major difference myself; a higher burn during a shorter period of time and max heart rate was the same....the one difference i found was the temperature. the heat ran almost the whole time i was on the gazelle while yesterday it was warmer outside so…

1 pound is approximately 3500 calories not 1500....

Have you changed your supplements at all? Taken any OTC meds? They both can make your urine appear different as can certain foods. if you have no pain or discomfort not sure you should be really overly concerned after a couple of days. You can buy the at home tests to see if there are any blood cells which could help you…
