My machine is way off. I do 5.8 miles in 45 minutes and I burn 461 calories. I use my Nike+ running app to keep track of my runs, as well as a pace calculator. HRM is your best bet. I can't wait to get one myself.

Age makes a difference to!

I lost all my weight doing cardio first. Then slowed down the cardio and started lifting. Elliptical is better on the knees and joints. No force contact.
-
I do this workout everyday and I log it as circuit training for however minutes I did it. Works out fine
-
When first starting logging I would count that as walking at a slow pace. I no longer log things like this. Either way is fine I would think. Walking is exercise whether you did it there or at a park, track etc.

You can stil do cardio, I would split it up. Maybe 3 days a week of cardio and 3 days a week lifting. Cardio is what will shed the weight off fast! Your trainer can lay you out a plan for sure. Eventually you won't have to do as much cardio once you hit your goal weight. Then you can really focus on toning up the muscles!

Look at your life as a marathon and not a sprint. A few days isn't going to hurt. Just get back to it once everything is back to normal. Eat your calories still just don't go over
-
Your body fat has to be in the low range. You can do as much core workouts and still never get what you want.
-
I know it's dangerous but I lift heavy at home without a spotter.
-
I love running, but running does not love me. I miss it ALOT. My knees and age keep me from doing it as much. I'll still get on my elliptical and get my 5 miles but its not the same. I try to get an outside run in once a week.

This is my own personal experience, but eating at TDEE and doing circuits along with weightlifting
-
Dips and planks are good to.

35 and I'll admit I don't like the number, however I still feel like I'm in my 20's. You are as young as you feel, can I get an Amen!

I've never stepped foot in a gym. Though I would love to it's just not an option for me. I do cardio 3 times a week plus a 15 minute circuit. I also weight lift 3 days a week plus a 15 minute circuit. It's about an hour every day intense!
